Want to get in on a West Marches game, but don't want to start halfway through someone else's story? Good news! We're currently rolling up characters for a new West Marches-ish game. Why West Marches-ish? We're taking what we learned with our first West Marches game and after combining the pick-up game feel of West Marches with the kingdom building framework from Kingmaker, we think we've come up with a fun, dynamic system of play. The game takes place in a homebrew setting (a mostly unexplored wetland with few notable spots of civilization and plenty of land to claim and treasures to find). We are using the D&D 5e ruleset, along with Ghostfire Gaming's Grim Hollow books as well as some stuff from the Ultimate Kingdoms book and some homebrew rules. What do we offer? If we do our jobs right, we are offering a world where your choices matter. We want you to feel like the world is a living, breathing thing, and that you're a part of the world building and the lore. We want you to be invested in the well being of your character and the places they go, no matter if you're able to make every game, or 1 in 3. Send me a message if you would like to come along with us for we have plenty of space on our ship. Come along to the lively town of Swampfoot, where the music is loud, the beds are tolerable, the beer is lukewarm and the the women are all three.
