Looking For Long Term Players~

Hey there, so I play like everyday on Roll20, love Tabletop Gaming, and love everything about it in general, I tend to host alot and want to find a friendly group who loves games and is passionate like I am, who have good grammar, and don't mind text heavy and roleplay heavy games, I do not use voice or video at all at this time, and won't for a long time to come probably, I understand if that right there is a no go for people. All my games are of course on Roll20 strictly, but I do use discord for Out Of Character talking as I like to keep the Roll20 Logs for strictly in game and character stuff as I think it looks alot better especially for those who like to read back the logs. I run a wide variety of games, ranging from modern to fantasy and everything in between. I hope to find people who like new and custom games, as thats alot of what I do with very few exceptions at this time, I am happy to to talk to new people and meet them just to see if we get along or hit it off, variety is the spice of life after all, right. So if interested look at my profile and what not and just give me a buzz or reply to this, any of that jazz. Gonna end this here as this is probably alot to read, any questions just ask and I will try to answer them for you, I do apologize if this is not to informative, hope to meet some friendly people who just want to play and have fun~
Greetings. I am intrigued. When you say the game is run via text, is it essentially a "play-by-mail" style game with each player stating their action and then you adjudicate the result?? I would love to know more about how this works. I am a shift worker so playing a regular VTT game is difficult for me as I am not available on a regular schedule, but if the game is played on an ad-hoc basis this might be ideal. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers
Sounds like a great opportunity. I run a horror/paranormal campaign (Cryptworld/Chill 1e) that has essentially evolved into a chat-only campaign, and I think it works great. Initially I kept my camera off and only used my mic for narrating scripts, but I allowed the players to do what they wanted. They all ended up shutting off cameras and only using chat, and I've gotten to the point now where I'm sort of requiring it to be chat only. If everyone can communicate well enough through typing, then I think it paces things out quite nicely and can lead to some great role playing. All that to say that I would love to join if I wasn't so busy, so I wish you luck! (And you're welcome to try out my campaign if you're interested, Friday PST at 8 pm.) https://app.roll20.net/join/10789338/Qe-n7g
Thank you for the offer, but I am looking for players namely at this time, especially for TSL once I start. Its all about communication and the people you are with getting along and respecting another, as it can be great fun yes, but rules and turn order are still important, I hope to meet some lovely people who like to try new games and enjoy hanging out together in general as it can lead to many great adventures~
I know this thread was open for awhile, but if you're still taking players, this sounds like an interesting deal to me! I'm very new to tabletop, but I've a lot of experience in writing and text-based RP, and I've been looking to make the transition into D&D for a long while now. Something casual and fun would be a neat deal.
