I'm Leo and have more than 2k hours on this website because the pandemic gave me enough time to become addicted to running games and systems. I'm a veteran GM of Call of Cthulhu, Vampire the Masquerade, and Soulbound, but have played many others too. While this is my first time running DnD 5e, its not the first time engaging with the system so much so that I feel confident enough that I will modify and add a lot to the Curse of Strahd module, to turn it into a larger module with a heavier emphasis to gothic horror themes (and maybe even body horror). As far as characters go, I want to be able to entertain any and all concepts that you guys want. From vanilla DnD to a lot of homebrew stuff (EX: Wanna play a dual gun-wielding caimanfolk who also is a warlock with a cthulhu-like patron? Let's make it work!) For this, it's a both-way street of trust, you trust me that I will make you something you will enjoy based around your concept, and you will make and adapt your concept so as to not throw the balance out of the window and keep it sensible (although hilarious character concepts are welcome). DO, keep in mind, characters that fit the setting and ambiance of horror and gothic horror will be preferred than the alternative (So, say Plague Doctors, Dhampirs, Mad Surgeons, Dullahans, Frankenstein monsters, and Werewolves will beat the glocko croco in most situations) More information in the posts below about character concepts. As players you must be aware: · There's one guaranteed open spot, it can be made into two if I feel like there's two character concepts / roleplayers I'd like to join. · Timezone must be flexible and compatible with mine (GMT+2/CEST). Will be playing on weekdays and almost never on weekends. The exact day is to be convened, the date given is orientating to time/hour. · Extremely beginner-friendly, and preferably never have played Curse of Strahd before · LGBT friendly (tho in-game, in-character prejudice and hate /discrimination can and will take place under certain circumstances. NPCs can be educated / redeemed on this fact and it might take some time to do so, but murderhobbo-ing npcs based on this will be treated as murderhobbo-ing on the regular and is therefore discouraged, though you will be free to do so) · Spicy Joke friendly. 4 other players are friends of mine and good roleplayers. We like to joke and banter with each other. You will not be forced to engage with this if and when it happens, but you must be aware that it's all in good fun and no one really means it. · Yes, you can be horny for Strahd. (a lot of my players will as well) I will explore such interactions and sexual themes (not only limited to Strahd himself), but any sexual encounter will be glossed over and not go into details as I prefer the 'closing of the curtain' approach to sex. However, fair warning, there's a possibility of sexual violence as a theme to come up, as it is many of the evils of the world and will be treated as such. It will never be in direct view of the players (or done to them): You can, however, write a backstory containing said elements for your own characters. Thank you for reading that huge block of text!
