I'm familiar with the Witcher ttrpg, mythras, and a few of OSR titles. A long-time player said my games have a casual atmosphere and I seem to put effort into session plans and world building. I'll admit overarching year long plots are not my speciality, so I try to focus on making each session interesting, like each little arch is a short story featuring recurring characters. Another player (a 2e dnd veteran) said my 5e campaign was one of the highlights of his 30 year gaming career. Maybe he had some terrible Gygaxian GMs, but I think what he liked was that I roll with the punches, improvise when the players surprise me, and will say "Yes!" to anything if there's a sufficient cost/risk. What I like about SotDL is it's simple like an OSR game but still gives players a nice amount of customisation. There doesn't seem to be any trap or outright bad options. It does everything I like about 5e dnd better than 5e dnd, and most things I don't like it also does better. If you want to play, see the link.
