After narrowly escaping having their vital essences drained, the party destroyed the Dread Wraith and fled from the Grey Render zombie minions. They returned to the town of Pasamakwa, where they got in touch with Nyzhony the Paladin. Through her, they had priests of Trameron restore their lost constitution points for free and they sent them to the town's second best inn. They spent the next three weeks, penning new scrolls and constructing magic items. On the third of Rain, 6144, they made another assault on Ft. Karrak tower. This time Amadou stone shaped a ramp to get them quickly up to the second floor.This tore in huge hole in the side of the tower as the ramp was constructed. The party ran up the ramp only to be blocked by the sudden appearance of a wall of ice that blocked their access into the second floor. This prompted Amadou to spider climb around and up to the third and fourth floor. He tried and failed to rally to party to join him in an assault on the fourth floor, which is where he suspected Forest of Spirits and HInterbite to be hiding. They ignored his calls but he left his
rope of climbing as a bridge to join him. Instead, Amadou used stone to mud to expose of the helical staircase
and a few rounds listening and scouting it out. This took about three rounds. Meanwhile Torkunde had convinced Scallapronon to melt through the ice wall at its narrowest point this only took three rounds of melting and chopping with Gentle Jim. This eventually cleared a narrow path through, allowing the party to attack in force in a cramped corridor. As the combat progressed, the party discovered new opponents joined the fight: bone devils! Nyzhony, narrolwly missing a crit, smites one of the bone deviles for 16 points of damage! Meanwhile Amadou charges up his offensive magic in preparation for attack!
