Cyberpunk Red

Lace up your boots and wake the F**K up samurai, we've got a city to burn!  We're all brand new to Cyberpunk Red but we aren't letting that stop us! We've got a pretty good handle on the basic mechanics (we're still learning stuff like Netrunning) and by God we've already come a long way.  My group and I are looking for people that're experienced (OR NEW! WE LOVE NEW PLAYERS! LET'S LEARN TOGETHER!) to join a Cyberpunk Red game and have generalized fun around Night City. While we lack experience with Red specifically most of us are GMs for other games and have been for a long time. We know how to put a story together at the very least.  If you're interested in joining, be sure to respond here AND in my private messages because sometimes R20 does not give me the forum notifications that someone has replied to the forums. Why it does that? No idea. But tech support hasn't helped!  Come on in, choom! It's time to get in there and have a ball.
i am a GM i support this message!
I'm interested.
depending on when it plays im interested. didnt see any mention of timezone or day of the week.
That's because we're more akin to a west march @Jack S.  Also I got no notifications for any of these forum posts. Woot! I'll message you guys.
What is a west March?
Love the Cyberpunk setting, i have never tried cyberpunk red but im willing to learn if you need a new player. I have been playing D&D5e and AD&D2e so i hope that helps to learn this game as well. Im new to the whole online thing but im pretty sharp with computers so that should not be a problem.  Im male 31, Danish but can speak English almost fluently (though with a danish accent ;)  Let me hear from you if i have peaked your interest.
mark m. said: What is a west March? Hello, my Fellows. Recently, I discovered a style of campaign that has been specifically designed for large amounts of players, called the “West Marches” style. It is very much a player driven style of campaign. It is the players’ job to collect the party, schedule the time, and figure out where they would like to go for each session. Not every player plays in every session, which is what allows large amounts of players to all be in the same campaign. This style of campaign would be great as a group activity, due to how it is formatted. Below I have quoted a large section of a post I was reading about this style of campaign that goes into greater detail than I have here: “West Marches was a game I ran for a little over two years. It was designed to be pretty much the diametric opposite of the normal weekly game: 1) There was no regular time: every session was scheduled by the players on the fly. 2) There was no regular party: each game had different players drawn from a pool of around 10-14 people. 3) There was no regular plot: The players decided where to go and what to do. It was a sandbox game in the sense that’s now used to describe video games like Grand Theft Auto, minus the missions. There was no mysterious old man sending them on quests. No overarching plot, just an overarching environment. My motivation in setting things up this way was to overcome player apathy and mindless “plot following” by putting the players in charge of both scheduling and what they did in-game. A secondary goal was to make the schedule adapt to the complex lives of adults. Ad hoc scheduling and a flexible roster meant (ideally) people got to play when they could but didn’t hold up the game for everyone else if they couldn’t. If you can play once a week, that’s fine. If you can only play once a month, that’s fine too. This. Basically anyways. Ours is a bit different and more like an MMO.
As a reminder:  I MOST OFTEN DO NOT GET NOTIFICATIONS FROM R20 FOR FORUM POSTS! I have no idea WHY but they just don't pop up in my inbox. Messaging me directly is your best bet. I don't THINK I've ever missed one of those.
I have not had this much serotonin since you could legally hug people.
