Eraser tool

Not sure if there is a thread out for this, I couldn't find one at least. An eraser tool would be fantastic. If you draw something and then later decide you don't want it, it's nearly impossible to get rid of it. Am I missing this tool, or a workaround? Thanks.

There isn't one. I asked about one in the Mentors forums but no clear indication of when one will be implemented.
you choose the select tool, select the graphic you wish to remove, then delete it. backspace or delete worked for me. I'm constantly doodling on the map, measuring paths around threatened squares and the like, then when I'm done, select it and erase it. Or making a note pointing to which one of the identical tokens I am interacting with and when my turn is over, select the graphic and delete.
Also when selecting small items the resize tabs can cover the entire drawing. This makes moving impossible since no portion of the drawing is visible under the drag boxes. How about an Alt+click to move?
I think this gets brought up pretty regularly, but the issues is that the drawings are vector graphics. It is far, far more difficult to try to "erase" part of a vector drawing than a raster one. Considering how even professional vector programs (like illustrator) seem to even struggle a bit with this issue, I think it's pretty unlikely that you'll get an eraser any time soon (though, hey, anything could happen!). Kristin C. (one of the mods) explained it in this thread: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3239/erasers#post-26705 "When you're drawing on the tabletop, you are creating a vector-based drawing. Each vector line/shape is a series of mathematical expressions that tells the application how the object is to appear on your screen. This is why your line remains crisp if you increase the scale of your drawing. An eraser tool that you would normally find in MSPaint/Gimp/Photoshop is used for raster-based images, not vector. A raster image like a BMP, JPG, PNG, etc is comprised of a large mass of pixels. An eraser tool is used on raster images to remove said pixels."

I understand now. thanks Sarah A. @ Sarah is that avatar from the titans of tabletop?
Metro, it's from the Guilded Age comic. There's a little bit of NSFW language and themes (nothing too terrible, but better to be safe) so I won't link it here, but googling it will get the link if you're interested
actually there is thread, but dev's don t mind making news so they know which suggestion is on top https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/70978/drawings-erasing-methods#post-71308
