Yes, something strange was going on. I moved maps around a bit and at first it seemed like I could rename a map if I moved it to early part, but after moving a few around I can suddenly rename all. Weird. As for 100+ maps, the problem is that of the maps about 40 are places they are likely to go again to, so do not want to recreate them later and that number will grow slowly. Also about 25 maps are the current quest line, about 20 the next likely, and about 20 maps as starting parts of few possible quest lines the party is likely to go to soon and then there are about 20 of "generic maps" for things like random encounters or when the party does something very strange. The problem is that out of the 20-30 maps of a questline, at least 5-10 will need to be saved for future re-use thus the number of maps that might need to be visited again will rise. Basically I run a quite freeform game with little railroading, instead giving hints of possible things to do, so the PCs will often ignore my hints, grab something from some sentence and go to strange places.
