Looking for a group to play Shadowrun with, I've a touch of experience with the system, but loved the game and am learning with a group online on Saturdays. I'm good for any time (my timezone is pst) past 1 pm on any day besides Saturday.
I am not sure. A GM can be a hard thing to find. I would be okay with a situation where GM responsibilities rotated, but that is probably even harder to find. Is there anybody from your other group who might be interested or any RL friends that are into this sort of thing? A quick question about your other group: is it straight 5e with no material imported from 4e? If there is material imported, I was just curious what and how it was chosen.
Hey guys I am interested in a game as well if you guys are looking to start a group. I think the rotating GM idea is a good idea as I don't have shadowrun experience although have GM'd DND. I also have a friend or two who might be interested.
I think I have a few people I could probably scrounge up, I think it's only 5e, not sure. It's a pax group so I would't know too much. Personally, if possible, I'd much rather find a single GM. Also, I think weekdays would work better for me.
Well I could GM a game, but because I have never actually played I would like to play as a PC as well so that is why I liked the rolling GM idea. Shadowrun seems to fit the setting as well to have new characters popping in and out etc. I would like a 5e game and to start we could always do the fast food fight in the book. My time zone is central (GMT-6) and could play basically Tuesday, Thursday (bi weekly starting in fall) and on the weekends.
The rotating GM idea is not ideal, but in my opinion it is better than nothing. We could wait a little bit and see if a wild GM appears. Barring that, we should probably create a game and start putting things together there so that it's not all stuck in Jake's LFG.
Sure, usually 1 DM is better I'll give you that. I might settle into a GM roll I just want a chance to play and everyone a chance to GM you never know if someone is a good GM unless you try. Otherwise what timezones are you guys in and what days work for you?
If a GM is found and a game time of 9pm+ CDT (GMT -5) works for you I would definitely love to join. It has been a long time since I have played Shadowrun. Currently I do not have the availability to GM so I could only join in as a player.
