Access to Handouts

I am the GM of a game. I create handouts for my players. It seems at times I cannot access the handouts and have to reload the page. This happens both in game with the players online and whilst I am connected on my own creating gaming content. Example - I create a handout. Edit it to add pictures etc and then save the handout. I can then move it where I need it to be i  the journal. When I try then to open it, I cannot do so, but I can open other hand outs. Once I reload the page on the browser I can then access the handout. During a live game this could happen on any handout. One minute okay the next I cannot open it and have to reload the game, which as I am GM is a pain. Is this a bug? I am using Google chrome on a windows 10 machine.

Are you popping the handouts out into their own window?  I know there was a Chrome update at one point in the last few months that seemed to result in that exact thing.  If you don't pop them out into their own window, then they should behave normally. 

"Last few months" being October of last year. I really wish this one would get a fix.

Just out of curiosity - I just reported a similar problem with the additional hitch that whenever iI create the handout it is automatically shown to players and the show to players button is no longer visible - does that happen to you as well?

My Roll20 is screwed up. I am the DM of a game (DND 5e) and I create important character sheets for the NPCs. I use the character sheet template as well and I can't edit them at all, I can make the changes but it won't do anything. Yes I have tried clicking outside of the box it just won't change anything, when I change the class, the saving throws and stuff won't change, when I level them up the proficiency won't change and the boxes always stay empty. It isn't only for my game too, I play with a different group and I am a player, the same problem occurs

It would probably be best to create your own thread, since this is a different problem and less likely to be seen. However, are you using a third party extension, or an unsupported browser? Here is a rough checklist of things that can narrow down where a problem is coming from: Could you please carefully work through these steps of our guide to  Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome  and  Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable  all  add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through  Step 4 .  (Don't forget the complete Console Log!)
