Invites can't be sent with anti-spam/malware/virus extensions

For those who don't know, roll20 basically doesn't work with AddBlockPlus or antimalware extensions such as Norton.  You have to disable them.  I get that people have bucket-loads of extensions and no company can put in exceptions for every single one... but Norton and ABP are very common programs.  I would argue the Roll20 team might consider working with these security features in future releases.

Isn't Adblock Plus a bit shady, working with advertisers to allow those that pay a fee to let their ads through? If not, ignore this message. If so, you should stop using that service, maybe switch to another service, like say Ublock Origin. (Note: shady might be a bit strong, I'm thinking of the Acceptable Ads program. You can apparently disable it, but it's on by default.) Norton has a reputation among IT repair firms as being the source of as many problems as it fixes, and I generally try to recommend people move away from it. All that said, pretty much all security software lets you add site exclusions, and you should be able to keep using your preferred software and add roll20 as an exclusion to stop them interfering with it. You wouldn't need to disable the programs.
Ok, fair enough.  Sure, could try different options.  I couldn't figure out how to whitelist in Norton, so I disabled it.  Actually Norton was suggested to me by an IT friend, so might be user experience based, i don't know.  Really just throwing out that these programs were causing problems so someone else doesn't spend an hour troubleshooting like I did.  Thanks!
That said, I know a firm that just switched from Norton to Bitdefender.  Though Bitdefender is sourced in Eastern Europe?  I mean, so was half the fake news coming from Macedonia.  So how do you know who's above board?  Lol The problem with the fake news era is that everyone says the other guy is fake news, or bloatware as the case may be.  ;)

Don't know about adblock plus , but I use adblock and Sophos and haven't noticed any issues. Of course, that might also be that I am not seeing ads anyway. But I have never had an issue sending invites.
