Hello! As the title states, me and the dm are looking for additional players for a campaign that the dm is running. I had been looking for a group for a while and i came across the dm who seems to be looking to run the kind of campaign i want to play in and now we're need 3 more like minded players! Here ar ethe bullet points to summarize the campaign. About the campaign - Uses the faerun setting but will be running a completely homebrew storyline and quest - Standard medieval/renaissance type of dnd - Mid tier magic and fantasy level, magic is available and common enough that your every day joe would know about it but hasnt necessarily experienced it. -Semi sandbox and open world, will have an over arcing storyline but we wont be railroaded into following it, the players will decide the course of the campaign. - Weekly and long term, his last campaign ran for 1 and half years, obviously we cant expect people to plan that far into the future, life happens, but keep it in mind when you apply. We will be using the rule of cool to a certain degree, but your actions and expectations have to be reasonable, There is room for fun and typical dnd shenanigans but in general there will be consequences for your actions, especially the stupid ones We will using custom made battle maps so thats nice. For character creation we are using 4d6 drop the lowest and you reroll 1s, although homebrew might be allowed it is completely up to the dms discretion whether its allowed or not as official content is preferred, speaking of, the dm has bought a lot of the resource books on roll20 so theres a lot to work with. We are starting off with a one shot to make sure everyone vibes and the characters used in the oneshot will carry over to the campaign proper. The oneshot will be free but since we are only looking for 3 people we are only considering the most serious people we come across, after youve applied we'll sit down, maybe one on one, maybe in groups and discuss what we want and expect out of the campaign. We are looking for mature people, with an adult mindset, our main goal is to find a cool group of people who we can enjoy this wonderful game with and therefore we have to all be on the same page.
