Save default settings not working

So I am the DM for a group running Dungeon of the Mad Mage and I changed some token settings in game settings so I didn't have to go into each individual token. That didn't do anything and after some googling I found out about the "Save Default Settings" button and tried it out. I selected the things I wanted to change and hit accept. The "are you sure?" popup came up at the top of the screen and I hit yes. Then nothing happened. I tried waiting a minute for it to load, I reloaded the page and opened it again, I tried to do the thing again about 4 times and still nothing. Anyone know how to fix this? 

There is a small progress bar once you accept.  Maybe you didn't wait for it to complete?

Just checking that when you say the "Save Default Settings" button, you are talking about the one in-game on the settings tab. After you have verified that you have waited for the very thin progress bar to finish, as Karynic describes, you should see the changes applied to all tokens that have been placed on the VTT or new tokens dragged from the Compendium (that are not already present in the game). The process will not affect saved default tokens (fresh drags from the journal tab). Those have to be updated manually, or with an API script.
