Elro's studies have revealed an odd truth about healing magic based on evocation. Unlike the more physical transmutation, which he would expect to see in healing by means of knitting flesh, it seems that divine magic grants the ability to channel some sort of raw life energy, letting the target's body decide how to utilize it. This greatly reduces the risk to the target, because unlike magically assisted surgery they heal naturally, if accelerated by magic. If he could learn to harness such energies, he might be able to devise a spell to renew the flesh of others that drew on a similar source. Unfortunately, the only such sources he knows of involve divine patronage or a deep connection to the cycle of life such as that possessed by druids. His trials in the realms of Baern and Toil have given him an inspiration, though. It might be possible to construct a sort of battery of the appropriate energy in a demiplane. He would need an initial supporter amongst the gods or a druidic rite of surpassing power, but once such a demiplane was established, it could be self-sufficient, allowing wizards to tap into it through standard extraplanar magic in much the same way that clerics channel their gods. Now he is back in the city, with time to work while the party discusses what to do next about the cultists now that all five imprisoned gods have been resealed.
