Stormreach - Research Conducted

Hello All I wanted to clarify and outline a few points of research conducted, and some additional things that I neglected to mention that Legion would have discovered. The Sahuagin have started attacking any and every ship in the Harbour. Many have been killed and the docks are at a stalemate. Rumors are the storm lords are responsible for breaching the treaty. Their greed led to the theft of a Sahuagin religious artifact. Ships armed with soldiers have been sent out to try to find out what’s going on. Legion learns that the Iron watch was deployed to walk (underwater) to the Sahuagin stronghold 3 days ago. They have yet to return. Hjocklop - is a Sahuagin practice of truce. Only those in possession of a Sahuagin family symbol can request Hjocklop. It is a demand of peaceful surrender to speak with the commander. It is a practice among the Sahuagin, and unheard of to be done among anyone else. Someone rumored to know much about Sahuagin tradition, and possibly the location of a lost Sahuagin family temple. This is Alice Cost. Lukar, while asking for information on magical lore, is also directly to Alice Cost by Alna. Alice Cost is rumored to be a Necromancer who specializes in bringing the dead back to life. Alice Cost is thought to live somewhere in the Old City, deep beneath Stormreach. Further research points to someone called The Dragon Prince as someone in possession of powerful magical tombs and artifacts (which may be of interest to Lukar) Legions contacts have word that the Bilge Rats have it out for them. Orlando’s older brother Vick, leader of the Bilge Rats. Expect trouble at some point. If there are any additional questions or points of interest that you want to pursue, then please let me know, and we should be able to wrap it up before we start next session. Based on what you have told me previously. Alice Cost is whom you are seeking, and you know of a staircase leading down to the old city, but it holds great danger. If your plans change, then please let me know. Is it Thursday yet?
Sh'Nezztar is also interested in #10.
Hey Steve, did my checks for Lukar in the game for research. According to the downtime activities rules, I should be able to gain three pieces of lore. I'm not sure if the above post was meant to represent our cumulative research efforts as a group, or what the timing of the information received is, but depending on how much of the above information Lukar would know going into his research, he might want to look into different things. If Lukar knew about the Dragon Prince, then that may be the focus of his research, given that we have a general picture of where to find Alice Cost at this point, and a general idea of who she is (I'm not sure how much more research conducted in a library would reveal on a "contemporary" figure such as Alice). If Lukar were initially unaware of the Dragon Prince then his research would probably focus on powerful magic/necromantic artifacts located in Stormreach, given that his other interests also involve contemporary persons who are not of such great renown that they would be located in a library. Or it could be that the information about the Dragon Price surfaced during Lukar's research, and that is a piece of the lore that he learned, which would then direct him to more focused research on the Dragon Prince for the next two pieces of lore. I'll roll with whatever way you want to interpret Lukar's research rolls given the information available, Steve. Feel free to let me know here or at the start of the next session, just didn't want to drop this on you right as we were starting tomorrow night.

Happy to provide some additional lore that you learned. The Dragon Price is a collector of powerful magical items and tombs. The Dragon Price is rumoured to be holding up in an ancient Giant temple long since buried in the city. (Enough to give you a general idea as to how to get there) Given your connections, you also discover that Alice a mispronunciation of her name, which is actually Hallis Cost, a Cleric of the Blood of Vol who seeks to understand the nature of divinity and to discover true immortality.
