August 14th, 1893, on board the Orient Express: The group having successfully dispatched of Menkaph, the train rolls on. The german doctor, Dr. Eckart Kaufer, will hopefully be a good ally. Mrs. Myers introduced herself to the investigators, explaining that her husband and her had been in Menkaph's clutches until his demise, and her husband was in a terrible state. Upon entering her compartment after saying they would help her, the investigators saw that her husband was wearing a blood red fez! He was degenerating, and it seemed he only had one or two days left until he became the same as Matthew Pook. Under his pillow, they found a copy of 'The Whispering Fez.' Polat, however, decided that Mr. Myers' state would not do. He successfully cast the spell 'Arrest Fez Decline' on Mr. Myers, successfully stopping another day (and 13 hours) of fez degeneration. Mrs. Myers was profusely thankful seeing her husband be at least marginally treated, and the crew went on to look in Menkaph's cabin. Nothing was there; seemed he kept anything of import in the Myers' cabin. The group separated, doing their own things until lunch. Saroch reloaded his shotgun, and the others enjoyed themselves in various ways on board the luxurious train. At lunch, Ms. MacGregor approached the investigators, inviting them to eat with her. She questioned them on the commotion in the sleeping car, before turning to her intended topic of conversation: the "Armenian Question." Each one of the group gave their opinions and statements on the matter, and she was grateful to Polat for cluing her in on some facts she had wrong as well as some information on Constantinople in general. She thanked them for their time and lunch was over. Waiting until dinner and then Vienna, the crew had more downtime to do what they wanted. Amelia drank at the salon car, Saroch listened in on the Russians' conversation and saw the Countess giving eyes to a man who was very much not her husband, Polat read more of The Whispering Fez, and Banks drank coffee and spent time in his cabin. Upon arriving at Vienna, the group found the Baron having a heated conversation with a young lady, before she stormed off and he came on the train. He introduced himself to the group of investigators (mostly ignoring Banks) and they showed him the fez. They then took him to Scott Myers, and the baron touched the fez and closed his eyes. He opened them afterward, speaking about how to control the fez, how to destroy all of them, how to make another, how to drain a fez-wearer of their power, etc. The group seemed distrusting of him, and even more so when he asked to become the controller using the fez they had gotten from Pook. Seeing the gleam in his eye and his nigh-insane demeanor (thanks to a check from Amelia), the group hesitates...
