Charactermancer and supervised charcter creation

I'm about to run a game for a group of school kids, aged 7 to 11 none of whom have any real D&D experience.  All are playing from home (Total lockdown here, so this is partly for socialisation for them) I'd like to let them create their own characters, but obviously, I don't want to throw a 7-year-old at charactermancer with no support.  Is there any way to have the player run charactermancer, and for me as GM to be able to see what they are doing and guide them through the process? I can maybe work around things by using a screen-sharing app or something but not all their parents will be up to setting that up.  If it's not yet available, can I suggest that two-viewer charactermancer would be really useful for GMs of new players. (And no, pre-creating characters isn't really a good solution.  The sense of ownership and understanding of the character that comes with char-gen is too valuable to skip for new players)

I think Zoom allows for screen-sharing, and judging by it's popularity during lockdowns (even my parents use it!), requires very little technical nous to use. I'd imagine the average 7-11 year old is more capable at using chat software than I am. Pretty sure Zoom also works in-browser without the need for a standalone app or extension. Discord is extremely popular and also allows for screen sharing, and presumably kids these days are born with innate Discord knowledge. Outside of charactemancer, a character sheet's status is updated on the databse - if you have a player's sheet open you can see which tab they're on and any changes they make. Conversely, if you switch a player's tab while they're trying to use their sheet, it'll update on their browser and likely confuse them. This doesn't extend to charactermancer, which runs in the browser instance and only sends the attribute updates to firebase on completion. Changing this to update firebase in real time, and allow the GM to see the current status, would be a significant change to how it functions - don't let me discourage you from making a Suggestion in the Suggestions forum, but it would be a considerable change to what is some fairly complex code. "Don't get your hopes up" would be the gist of what I'm trying to say :)
