Multiple Issues ongoing for weeks

Opened a support ticket last week and have since received no response outside of the autoresponder. At the Pro level, this is pretty ridiculous to not even get a human response regarding these issues. For our last 2 Tuesday sessions, we've encountered the following ongoing problems: 1. NPC character sheet links do not work to activate rolls. They make a chat entry of a blank line, with no other input sent. This has resulted in our GM (me) having to manually roll all NPC rolls for 2 sessions where clicking on a character sheet macro should work without issue. 2. Dynamic lighting doors that cannot be selected. In numerous spots in my premade campaign (BG: DiA, paid for via Roll20) there are doors closing off rooms on maps that I cannot select to move or delete. This has resulted in me having to open up gaps in room's walls to allow my players to enter, or manually drag the players from room to room, defeating the purpose of them having a token they can interact with in these situations. 1 map had 4 such doors on it. Considering the cost of the pro subscription along with the $50 for the module, this is unacceptable. 3. Changing maps causes multiple browsers to crash. When switching between maps in our purchased campaign, my browser and that of at least 1 of my players will crash. This isn't consistent with 1 map, and has happened across multiple maps. This isn't normally a huge issue for the players as they typically have 1-2 windows open in Roll20, but as a GM, I usually have 10-12 windows popped out on multiple screens, so a crash of the R20 system causes me to have to reopen R20, pop out numerous windows and replace their positions prior to restarting. Sometimes a 3-5 minute delay in our sessions. 4. Dice roll latency - In the last 4-5 weeks, any dice rolls using 3D dice seem to have at least a full second or 2 delay before rolling, which rolls over into the chat display of the dice as well. This happens across all my players. 5. Initiated a support ticket regarding these issues last week and it's been a full 8 days with no response whatsoever from anyone other than the autoresponder, which is why I posted this here. Forums seem to draw a much more immediate response with the public nature of them. 6. Charactermancer has been FUBAR since purchasing the Tasha's Cauldron of Everything compendium. This compendium caused numerous inconsistencies in my players' character sheets, is automatically adding optional rules during level up (causing confusion for new players, and unintended player exposure to optional rules for GMs with no way of toggling that "feature" off) and a lot of the drag and drop from that compendium seems to either not bring over all the data for the item/feature, or just flat out doesn't work. 7. I spun up a new instance of our game from the module and copied over our player content to see if a reset of the module would alleviate the issues. No love from this effort other than learning more about how R20 works. 8. Mobile: After finally getting to a point where I could use the Roll20 app on my android phone to at least read through journal items while laying in bed, even this no longer works. The web interface on a device as small as a mobile phone barely works, and I can't scroll enough side to side to read through these any longer. I've had to resort to copy/pasting these documents into an external source to read them at night. Living in 2021 and not having a simple way to read text from within a campaign without resorting to being on my PC is pretty close to unacceptable, especially when an option for this existed previously and worked in some state. The app appears to be entirely unsupported and isn't locatable in the app store any longer. I've been hosting DND5E games on Roll20 with limited issues now for a year and a half. In the last 4 weeks, it's slowly become a hassle to use, and eventually has hit a position of being nearly unplayable. Almost considered using a camera with miniatures this week to run our game since I haven't yet received an official response from Roll20, but we decided to pivot into a demo for a competitor instead and seem to be making some progress in getting it setup as an alternative in case this continues. Troubleshooting tried: Before each session, clear my browser caches and shut down my PC so it can have a full, fresh restart with clear cache prior to starting a session to give us the best possible chance for success. We use discord to alleviate R20 from having to try and handle the video/audio as well. I don't actively use much in the way of APIs as, with the issues we've been having, adding to the complexity of the system seems to be a poor idea as it can barely handle the load it's under now. We're all running in the most up-to-date chrome browsers and actively try to keep these clean to help mitigate these issues as much as is possible from our side. We've played with graphics acceleration being on and off, with no major benefit either way. We've gone through disabling any/all extensions in our browsers, and have found a similar experience when using the Edge and Firefox browsers, so it seems to be relatively browser-agnostic. Considering the hundreds of dollars worth of marketplace purchases and the hundred annually for pro level, not receiving any official support without having to come and complain on the forums to get the necessary attention is pretty crappy. Support Request: #65309
Hello OPiE, First of all, I'd like to apologize that your request appears to have been missed. I've located it and will be assisting you directly through that contact method. A few of the problems you've listed, I'll be documenting and passing along that info to the relevant teams and the rest I should be able to provide assistance in the existing request. For the mobile problem - our old app has been depreciated and one of our teams has been working on a new iteration that has been going through closed beta testing. We should have info on it opening up more to the public soon so that anyone who is looking to use their mobile device as a supplemental aid will be able to do so. We'll be doing a sweep to catch any other requests that may have fallen through like this one, but at times the second best way to ensure we catch these cases is to submit another ticket with higher priority. We do our best to respond within the day or next day of receiving high priority cases.
The lag is so bad the we cannot play today.

Hi there, I too am having a major issue with the dynamic lighting lagging out the game beyond usefulness at all. As the DM, the moment I turn on dynamic lighting, the game becomes unplayable as the lag is far too much. Using the new dynamic lighting system, no fog of war is not on and the issue is new as of 2 weeks or so ago. Can you please advise as to how i could rectify this issue?
dear roll20 dynamic lighting kinda sucked today, please look into the matter. it caused lag to the Game master, slowed down the gameplay.
Our group had a problem today with Dynamic Lighting - DM had to turn it off in order to get their end to work, otherwise they had so much lag it was unusable. We seem to have this & other issues (we actually lost a player because Roll20 wouldn't load his region (Iran) on Tuesday (PST). Any help here?
I have lost a player due to what appears to be a lag issue. Things have gotten so slow that his vtt would not load and so he has left our game. Interesting to note that we are not seeing any issues on discord.
Hey folks, If you're currently experiencing dynamic lighting lag issues, please submit a request on our help-center under VTT Bug for Game Performance or DL issue as Player/GM if it is only happening to a specific role. The best info we can get to make sure we help you with this is usually a link to the game in question, a console log from your browser when it happens, and who was affected. There was no update today that went out for anything Dynamic Lighting related as far as I'm aware of, but we'll check into if anything has changed recently that might be causing performance to suffer especially.

I’m not from Roll20, and I’m not a great troubleshooter, but I am a human, so I’ll give this a go. 1. If you make an NPC roll, and get the blank line in chat, try hitting the up arrow to find out what command Roll20 was trying to execute. That might help the devs (or someone in the forums who is more experienced than I am) figure out what’s going on. 2. Doors that cannot be selected: this is a general problem that drawings are hard to select; I too have difficulty sometimes. Usually, zooming in and clicking-and-dragging works better for me than just clicking. 3. Yikes! Hope the devs can help with this. 4. The lag in animated dice and other animated effects is why I do not use them. There might be some tips for reducing lag in general that might help with both your dice problem and your switching-maps problem. One thing that might help if you're using dynamic lighting: turn off vision for monsters and NPCs. 5. Understandable. 6. Yes, the automatic inclusion of optional features from Tasha’s in the Charactermancer was a surprise to me as well. I imagine it was an intentional choice, but I can see how it is frustrating when you want to keep optional features not only optional but invisible. 7. Sorry this didn’t help anything, but at least you have a backup now. 8. Threads for the beta of the new mobile app: (1) https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9912751/mobile-app-beta-now-available-for-pro-users#post-10350006 ; (2) https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10349475/invite-your-friends-family-and-players-to-join-the-roll20-mobile-beta [In general, Roll20 could use some gentle weeding to get rid of or hide things that are deprecated: the broken tutorial, links to things like “Cleric Spells By Level” that point to a table of all D&D 5E spells that the user has access to (a table that is not filterable by class), and, in your case, the old mobile app.] Good luck!
