If this damage reduces the ward to 0 hit points, the warded creature takes any remaining damage." ROLO: nice Sirus: So at level 6 you can use your ward to shield an ally You get one more 4th level slot. 3rd 1 more 3rd level slot ROLO: cant wait Sirus: As for a new spell, Fear would be cool. ROLO: just 1 3rd lev spell slot Sirus: Enemies in a 30 foot cone have to wisdom save or they become frightened Yeah just one more 3rd level slot ROLO: slow is good to help party too Sirus: You could also boop an ally and give them 60 feet of flying. If you wanted to give a buff spell to Rolo, Haste would be very potent. +2 to AC, movement speed doubled, dex save advantage, and one additional action per turn ROLO: haste is one person right? Sirus: Touch yeah. 30 feet, excuse me ROLO: cool morning dm Sirus: Heya Marshall : yello Sirus: http://dnd5e.wikidot.com/spells:wizard Rolo take a look at this sometime. ROLO: cool ty Sirus: and goodbye :p Juan : ricky's internet just went out Sirus: :x really? Juan : yeah He is fixing it Sirus: Shiet. My father and I are going to attend a gas engine meet next week, unless the weather is bad. Dungeon Master (GM): testing...i'm i back in?! ROLO: cool Sirus: Yay! Looks like it. Dungeon Master (GM): Our new player if he joins: https://app.roll20.net/users/1310279/tarth-tangle three is another one but looks like that was a troll so I let Tarth in! There he is! ROLO: i hearhim Tarth Tangle: Hello ROLO: welcome Tarth Tangle: i normally use discord for voice only, i use disc on my phone because my laptop microphone is trash Juan : hows it going tarth Sirus: Ok, well we're not using microphone for this one, so it won't be an issue. And also hello Tarth Tangle: thats fine, did you say you want me to take over and play Dia Xiloscient? ROLO: tarth what race and charcter class u playng Sirus: Yeah, looks like Elizabeth is dropping out of the campaign. I imagine the GM intends for you to play her until we can get back to town and retire her. Dungeon Master (GM): yes
Tarth Tangle: that is acceptable, i've never played a wizard before, but i can bluff it. Dungeon Master (GM): and I don't think Elizabeth is here...she has been on all week since the last game. i just pinged Dia for you Tarth. Tarth Tangle: seen. Dungeon Master (GM): ok, to start things off, here is the description of what you see in the current room: The orcs trashed this room, destroying its furnishings and scattering debris everywhere. A cold breeze blows out of the twin fireplaces built into the south wall. Sirus: Hm. Tarth Tangle: Can i investigate the fireplaces Dungeon Master (GM): yes Tarth Tangle: 19 | 15 INVESTIGATION (7) Dia Xiloscient Dungeon Master (GM): ok, starting with the right one. you do not find any secret doors and the flue goes up into daylight and nothing seen up there. Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Let's just keep looking." Dia Xiloscient the Elf Wizard Agreed. Dungeon Master (GM): another roll for the left fireplace if you search that one Tarth Tangle: 10 | 25 INVESTIGATION (7) Dia Xiloscient Marshall the Human Paladin Says: "say we open both of these at once marcuria? Or shall we play it safe and investiagte one at a time" Dungeon Master (GM): ok, same for this fireplace as well, no secret door and nothing out of the ordinary to be seen. Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Alright. Sure. When I say go." Dia Xiloscient the Elf Wizard After searching these fireplaces, i found nothing, i am happy to continue moving through this place Sirus: Ok so Marshall and Marcy are gonna go through both doors at the same time. Dungeon Master (GM): alright Description of the new room: This room has been ransacked, leaving nothing but smashed shelves, broken barrels, torn sacks, and other detritus lying about. and the other door opens into a passage Marshall : is there anything that stands out in this room, anything interesting 15 | 12 INVESTIGATION (0) Marshall Dungeon Master (GM): Marshall you do see a skeleton clad in breastplate on the floor it appears to be humanoid and the armor is rusty that's all you really find in the room. what's next? Juan : we need to push north Dungeon Master (GM): ok Sirus: open door Dungeon Master (GM): Weapon racks that once stood against the north and south walls lie smashed on the floor amid the remains of wooden mannequins. Rusty hooks on the walls once held armor, shields, and helms. Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Say this much about those bastards. They do a thorough job when they blow through a place. Like a tornado." Juan : very true Dungeon Master (GM): opening that next door marcuria? Juan : dont be skeerrrrd lol Dungeon Master (GM): ok, was it opened then? Juan : these sons a bitches are gonna die Sirus: Yeah open Dungeon Master (GM): In the middle of the room stands a sturdy oak table. Tiny, carved wooden figures of soldiers are strewn about, as are the torn-up remains of old maps. Juan : Shield of Faith Abjuration 1 Casting Time: 1 bonus action Range: 60 feet Target: A creature of your choice within range Components: V, S, M (A small parchment with a bit of holy text written on it) Duration: Concentration Up to 10 minutes A shimmering field appears and surrounds a creature of your choice within range, granting it a +2 bonus to AC for the duration. SPELL SAVE DC : 13 SPELL SLOT LEVEL 13 OF 4 REMAINING Dia Xiloscient the Elf Wizard i ready my daggers of frost, and follow on behind the party leads Juan : i cast that on marcy Sirus: gonna check the ceiling for danger. Also thank you. Marcuria Violezi: 9 | 12 PERCEPTION (3) Marcuria Violezi Tarth Tangle: can i history check or investigation to get any information from the torn up remains of the maps? Dungeon Master (GM): The maps are ancient and from what little you could now make out the place names are from at least a millennia ago. Ok, the info on what you see scattered on the floor here: Three humanoid skeletons in rusty suits of chain mail lie on the floor near rusty longswords. Sirus: O...kay. Marcy blind, as usual, despite having +3 to perception. Dungeon Master (GM): A fourth humanoid skeleton in rusty plate armor lies slumped in a chair that faces the fireplace. A steel goblet lies on the floor between the legs of the chair.
Juan : 14 | 11 PERCEPTION (2) Juan Denero got it Dungeon Master (GM): the place so far has 15-foot-high, arched ceilings. Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Keep your eyes up as we explore. You don't want to get jumped by stirges..." Dungeon Master (GM): Juan what are you looking for there with that roll? Sirus: Checking ceiling for stirges waiting to jump us Dungeon Master (GM): ok, no stirges Sirus: So GM is this a stairwell? ROLO: i shut doors as we go Dungeon Master (GM): yes and the stairwell goes up i believe Sirus: Ok just checking. Juan : i was looking at the ceiling 18 | 6 PERCEPTION (2) Juan Denero same here looking at the ceiling, those little suckers aint getting us if I can help it Roqar: 7 | 3 PERCEPTION (2) Roqar Juan : dayum Roqar: checking the floor Juan : 19 | 5 INVESTIGATION (2) Juan Denero Marcuria Violezi: 13 | 11 PERCEPTION (3) Marcuria Violezi Dungeon Master (GM): Orcs have long laired here, as evidenced by the filth in the room. The furnishings that were once here have all been burned in the fireplace. Juan : checking the chimney Dungeon Master (GM): nothing unusual on the ceiling here Nothing found in the fireplace for Juan Juan : darn Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "One thing I will never understand, is how orcs can stand living such meager lives of nothing." Juan : I don’t know Avery Dungeon Master (GM): nothing more to be discerned by Marcuria Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "More likely they burned all the furniture just to keep warm for a bit longer..." Juan : marcy is probably right Dungeon Master (GM): the doors by Marshall and Avery were smashed open Juan : is this a stair well Dungeon Master (GM): yes they go up Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Not a fan of this place. Nothing could be more pretentious than a mountaintop fortress." Sirus: Ok, ready to move up to the next floor now. Juan : yes Tarth Tangle: yes Dungeon Master (GM): ok, i need to move the tokens to the next floor map then. Sirus: Righto. Dungeon Master (GM): Sildar will stay at the bottom of the stairs to keep watch. The room is decorated with the spoils of war, including impressive-looking furniture that was mostly destroyed when Cryovain attacked. Also heaped about the room are furs, antlers. Sirus: Check to see if the furs are in good shape? Tarth Tangle: can i investigate to see if any of the items are salvageable Roqar: Furs in good shape? 11 | 6 INVESTIGATION (0) Roqar Tarth Tangle: 19 | 8 INVESTIGATION (7) Dia Xiloscient Dungeon Master (GM): ok, Tarth spots something! A severed right hand still clutching the haft of an elegant-looking greataxe! Tarth Tangle: fancy, can i bag it? Sirus: I should mention that Dia has rather poor strength. Being a wizard and such Dia Xiloscient the Elf Wizard Dia looks to the group barbarian, see that axe? go grab it for me Dungeon Master (GM): you also see the rotting heads of dwarves, humans and orcs here! Juan : 14 | 3 INVESTIGATION (2) Juan Denero Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Lovely..." Juan : i am lookin around Sirus: Yeah ok, Marcy will repossess that axe.
Dungeon Master (GM): yes you can take the great axe Juan : around Sirus: Anything special about it? Juan : want me to detect magic amiga? Dungeon Master (GM): it's has really fancy handiwork on the axe Sirus: Yeah, sure. Looks like the end of the line anyways. Juan : Detect Magic Divination 1 Casting Time: 1 action Range: Self Target: Self Components: V, S Duration: Concentration Up to 10 minutes For the duration, you sense the presence of magic within 30 feet of you. If you sense magic in this way, you can use your action to see a faint aura around any visible creature or object in the area that bears magic, and you learn its school of magic, if any. The spell can penetrate most barriers, but it is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt. SPELL SAVE DC : 13 SPELL SLOT LEVEL 12 OF 4 REMAINING Sirus: any magic on the axe? Dia Xiloscient the Elf Wizard dia writes out an I.O.U note with their quill and hands it to marcy, sign this please! >Note I.O.U x1 Pretty GreatAxe> Juan : lol Sirus: ..? Dungeon Master (GM): No magical aura emanates from the greataxe for Juan. There is an ornate wooden chair in the room...it's missing an arm Juan : hahahahahhaha Sirus: Tarth. Somehow that seems unrealistic. ROLO: lol Juan : classic that was awesome tarth Dungeon Master (GM): you see it has six branches of red coral worked into its design. Tarth Tangle: How so i have plenty of paper in my scholar bag and i have quail and ink with me lol, are you suggesting marcys intelligents is too low to sign their name lol Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "...I'm not signing that....I really don't care who this belonged to ,since they're dead now." Juan : 11 | 11 PERCEPTION (2) Juan Denero Sirus: ...Oh hello, dead dragon : x Juan : lol Sirus: Fancy meeting you again Dungeon Master (GM): yea that's the dead dragon there Juan : i was looking at the ceiling Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "...You know, despite what I said earlier.....you could make a pretty damn impressive throne room right here...." 9 | 20 PERCEPTION (3) Marcuria Violezi Roqar: 20 | 15 INVESTIGATION (0) Roqar Sirus: the dice laugh at me. Juan : 9 | 21 PERCEPTION (2) Juan Denero me too amigo Avery: 20 | 14 PERCEPTION (7) Avery Dungeon Master (GM): you guys are up on the roof now! Juan : roqar nailed it oh ok Dungeon Master (GM): The rooftop is enclosed by a 3-foot-high battlement, except in the corners where the wall has collapsed. Cylindrical stone chimneys jut 5 feet above the rooftop but are too narrow for even Small characters to squeeze through. Sirus: Oh woops. Thought this was a massive throne room or something Juan : me too marcy Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "It looks like that is it..." Dungeon Master (GM): you are outside in the cold crisp 34 degree air Juan : Jauns from south tejas that is frigiid Dungeon Master (GM): the roof here is covered in ice so watch your step! Sirus: good thing you have winter clothes Roqar: Bah 34 is fine minus 34 would be cold Sirus: shush Juan : lol Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "I suppose we should return to the others now?....." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Yeah. We're done. ROLO: no dragon treasure ugh Juan : same thoughts marcy Sirus: Also I think Marcy will just give that greataxe to the merc lady. It's technically probably their property anyways? Since they've moved in to the fortress Tarth Tangle: i'd say finders keepers right Roqar: 15 | 9 INVESTIGATION (0) Roqar Juan : maybe Sirus: Normally yes but Marcy already has an enchanted greataxe thing ROLO: sound is on Sirus: No? Dungeon Master (GM): and what was Roqar looking at? Roqar: Checking the furs for a nice one to keep Dungeon Master (GM): the furs are still usable though won't fetch you any coin Sirus: So the pelts are either really poor or ruined. Roqar: look decent helps stay warm Sirus: except you already have nice thicc winter clothes but sure Dungeon Master (GM): yes they will at least keep you warm ROLO: sound is for someone Sirus: I don't hear anything. Roqar: I hear it also Sirus: Tarth maybe Dungeon Master (GM): there is a south going passage by Rolo! cold air coming from it Sirus: oof. ...Oh bother. Juan : 14 | 22 PERCEPTION (2) Juan Denero ROLO: 10 | 19 PERCEPTION (4) Rolo i hear tarth lol Sirus: Tarth turn your sound off pls ROLO: lol Sirus: thank Juan : thanks amigo ROLO: ty Dungeon Master (GM): nothing was found on those perception check outside here Sirus: There is door here oh also Marcuria Violezi: 6 | 16 PERCEPTION (3) Marcuria Violezi Avery: 26 | 24 PERCEPTION (7) Avery Sirus: Why do I even bother rolling perception with marcy Juan : dayum avery Dungeon Master (GM): with all the rubble around outside here you are not sure if it was caused by the dragon or ancient earthquakes anyone want to try the door? Juan : yes Dungeon Master (GM): Juan? Sirus: yup juan opens door Juan : 14 | 17 INVESTIGATION (2) Juan Denero Sirus: Why is Marshall at the stairwell btw Juan : lol napping? Dungeon Master (GM): Between piles of rubble stands an empty hall with arrow slits lining the outer wall. Juan : i moved him Avery: 11 | 24 PERCEPTION (7) Avery

Otherwise nah. Dungeon Master (GM): Juan finds a secret door Sirus: Bleh, just leads back into the hall. Although... Tarth Tangle: dia can always spiderman it down to the cave with spiderclimb... but if you think its not worth it thats cool too Juan : oh snap Marshall : lemme climb on down there Tarth Tangle: FOR DESCRIPTION ONLY Spider Climb Transmutation 2 Casting Time: 1 action Range: touch Target: One creature Components: V, S, M Duration: Concentration 1 hour Dia Xiloscient, casts the spell upon Dia Xiloscient and until the spell ends, gains the ability to move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings, while leaving its hands free. Clean and empty." Roqar: (We closed the secret doors) Syleen Wintermoon Says: "Well, that's good to know. Thanks." ok Roqar Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "...Say...how are you and your friends here set for weapons? Found this pretty looking weapon on one of the old corpses in there." Displays the fancy greataxe to Syleen and the others. Jabarl the Orc-Biter Says: "The axe looks impressive, is it magical?" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Don't think so. Although I imagine it'd enchant up real good. You're welcome to have it. Already got one myself.~" Jabarl the Orc-Biter Says: "I'll take the axe, sure, thanks." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Nods and hands the greataxe to Jabarl. Jabarl the Orc-Biter Takes the axe from Marcuria and looks it over. Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Alright. So, I think we're about done here. Bring down a couple of those horses for us, we'll get you some firewood, so you won't be freezing your rear ends off, and we'll be on our way. I did promise i'd do that for you." Syleen Wintermoon Says: "We thank you for your help. We have a lot of work to do to clean this place up. A lot of rebuilding as well."
Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Not a problem, really. When I was in your line of work, I was...alone, a lot more than was really healthy for me. I don't have any problem paying it forward, so to speak." Runa Vokdottir Says: "Ok, we will bring a couple horses down with you then." Juan : your welcome Sirus: Ok so, GM, I think we are about ready to be done with this area. The party will take a couple of horses, go down to ground-level, spend a few hours gathering firewood, and then bring it back up with the horses for Syleen and her friends. figure Marcy oughta be able to hack up some trees with the hewing axe. it literally does more damage to wood Dungeon Master (GM): Runa and Jabarl, go do with you so you don't make off with the horses and help you gather the fire wood. Sirus: Sure. There won't be any funny business ofc. Dungeon Master (GM): ok Marcuria is overcome with a creepy feeling for having chopped up some wood. Sirus: ...? O...kay? Dungeon Master (GM): ok, so to be sure there was no farther investing in the stronghold? Sirus: Correct. It seems like we did everything there. There is no more map to explore. So at this point, we can probably just hop back to the map and get a move on. Roqar: Just for Grins Check that small cave Sirus: Nope. ROLO: dragons have treasure out of game Sirus: Yeah well the orcs raided it : X after we killed the dragon ROLO: dam orcs out of game Sirus: Ok so what else is there to do ROLO: say we kill the orcs Roqar: Go back to town ROLO: to see what they found Juan : orcs or town I am up for anything Sirus: Oh yeah that forest is full of orcs and shenanigans. GM how many more days until weapon silvering is done? Had a dagger each for Roqar and Rolo, I think, and Marcy's gauntlets. Dungeon Master (GM): It might be done whenever you get back to Phandalin Sirus: Alright, Phandalin it is then! Marcy needs her gaunts back Dungeon Master (GM): ok, with the rest of you to head back to Phandalin? Sirus: Yes. Brb, duty calls Roqar: Pay homage to Tymora for another safe trip Tarth Tangle: is the avg level of the party 5, should i level my character up to 5 yes? Roqar: yes Dungeon Master (GM): yes level it up to 5 right now, I can't do the level 1 start on roll20...too much player turn around at times ROLO: what u plan playing tarth Dungeon Master (GM): any business while in phandalin besides getting the silvered weapons? ROLO: any rumors of late Sirus: Well we are going to talk to the dwarves we brought out of the mine. Roqar: any new jobs? Sirus: They should be able and willing to help us out. Dungeon Master (GM): ok, you go to the stonehill inn to pick up on rumors but there is none to be had right now
Sirus: But step 1, pick up silvered weapons. Iirc there was a dagger for Roqar, a dagger for Rolo and Marcy's gauntlets. Dungeon Master (GM): let me check on new jobs on the job board by the town hall Tarth Tangle: i wasnt here for the prep for the silvered weapons, any chance i can fandangle some silverd bolts / daggers my self? Sirus: What class are you doing? Tarth Tangle: tabaxi rogue i was gonna be barb, but we got one already so, its no biggy Sirus: Rogue. Hm..... Honestly I don't know that there's much we can do there. ROLO: why not a drow lol Tarth Tangle: why not a tabaxi Sirus: Last time we saw the blacksmith, the best he had was walloping arrows but that's not much. Not even magic, per'say, so it won't do crap to wererats ROLO: cool joking Roqar: A cat!! Got a Rogue already also :D Sirus: Yeah so I mean You could actually just do a barb, it's fine Dungeon Master (GM): ok, no new job postings on the board, so looks like you can relax in town Juan : back Sirus: We're not going to get stupid on you for duplicates. ROLO: long rest too Tarth Tangle: its chill, i gott this one made now no dramas, Sirus: So it's a rogue? Hm... ROLO: welcome tarth Sirus: If your dex is high enough, you could try to get your hands on like bombs or some sort of flaming throwable Tarth Tangle: can i grab some supplies, from local shops? my shopping list is, extra bolts, rations Dungeon Master (GM): yes certainly you can go buy supplies around town Sirus: Ok so first, Rolo, Marcy and Roqar head to the blacksmith. That's task #1. Tarth Tangle: dex is 17, is that highenough for a molotov? Juan : yes ROLO: np Sirus: That is very good dex yes. Talk with GM about getting like flammable oil flasks or a bomb or some sort of throwable item that does fire damage. Juan : rolo burns us all the time anyways lol hahahahha Dungeon Master (GM): i'll just say you can find components to make such devices around town Roqar: Yes The Drow is a Pyro ROLO: sometimes accedental Juan : hahahah Sirus: https://www.dndbeyond.com/equipment/bomb Tarth Tangle: okay after the party is done at blacksmith, i will go shopping Sirus: Rolo, Roqar c'mere ROLO: k Marcuria the Human Barbarian Walks up to the front door of the smithy and knocks on the door. Dungeon Master (GM): Rolo starting the next adventure we will be keeping a better watch on your spell component supply.. a pouch usually contains enough for 10 castings of a spell. ROLO: k imay need help with that Dungeon Master (GM): if you buy stuff please deduct cost off your character sheets ROLO: kk Dungeon Master (GM): let me know what you bought ok, anyone hanging at the stonehill in the evening? Roqar: Yes later Sirus: ^ ROLO: i will resuply spell componets here if i can Roqar: going to pick up the silvered stuff first ROLO: yes Dungeon Master (GM): ok Sirus: Yes. GM, marcy knocks on the door btw Thagren Ironforge the Smithy Says: "Greetings folks! Ah, you are back! What has been happening?!" Juan : \not too much just alittle of this and a little of that Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Too much. Far too much to go into. Did you finish silvering those items yet, sir?" Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Came for the silvered stuff" Thagren Ironforge the Smithy Says: "I see, well, now that I have had some help here, your weapons and the pair of guantlets are done and ready for you." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Perfect. We'll pick them up, then." Whispers to herself, ("and not a moment too soon.") Thagren Ironforge the Smithy Goes over to retrieve the items and gives them to the party.
Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Maybe later we can share a drink or two?" Sirus: Alright, so now we need a small tweak to Marcy's gauntlets, and note that her regular punches are now silvered. Tarth Tangle: while at the blacksmith, could i inquire if, during his silvering process did he make any extra bolts that he could perhaps sell Roqar: You here DM? ROLO: brb getting a drink Marcuria the Human Barbarian Quickly grabs her gauntlets and pulls them on, looking them over and noticing that all the metal parts were now plated in silver. Says: "Always feel naked without these things..." Juan : internet crashed for rick hes fixiing it ROLO: np Roqar the Elf Rogue takes the silver dagger and slips it into one of many hidden scabbards Dungeon Master (GM): ok, I think i'm back here?! internet went down again Tarth Tangle: No drama. Sirus: hoo boy... Tarth Tangle: DM: while still at the Blacksmith, is it possible to ask the smith if during his silvering process earlier if he made any spare silvered bolts? Thagren Ironforge Says: "Sorry I have no bolts, you might want to check the Lion shield coster, they usually have a supply of arms and armor there." Tarth Tangle the Tabaxi Rogue thanks the blacksmith for the information and skips away tail swishing Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Maybe later we can share a drink or two?" ROLO: sounds great Thagren Ironforge Says: "Yea, sounds good, I'll stop in, in the evening for dinner. " Sirus: meanwhile, Avery is gonna go see Sister Geraele. Dungeon Master (GM): ok Roqar the Elf Rogue Gives the Blacksmith a smile and heads for the Inn Sirus: Marcy will go to find the dwarves from the Mountain's toe Thagren Ironforge Says: "See you all later folks!" ROLO: nods and ty Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Bye" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Yeah, see you." Sister Garaele the Cleric of Tymora Says: "Hello Avery, what can I do for you today?" Says: "Praise Tymora you are back in one piece." Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Indeed. It is good to see you again as well. I was wondering...if you know anything about treating early-stage lycanthropy. There are wererats, not far from here." Dungeon Master (GM): 50% chance of wolfbane: 70 Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "A bottle of Elven wine and two glasses, if you will?" Sister Garaele the Cleric of Tymora Says: "Sorry dear, I don't even have any wolfbane at the moment." Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "...Wolfbane. I see. This is going to be risky, then....do you know where someone might procure some in an emergency?" Toblen Stonehill the InnKeeper Says: "Ah! Roqar good to see you back! Willing to share today?" places two glasses in front of Roqar then gets the bottle and puts it besides them. Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "It's just....I would hate for us to fight them, and survive the encounter, only for one or more of us to turn into werewolves or some other much more foul creature." Sister Garaele the Cleric of Tymora Says: "Can always check the woods around Phadalin, some should be growing out in the wild." Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Waiting for the Blacksmith, thank him for his great work, not much else to share this time" Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "...Right...thank you for the advice, Sister. I appreciate it." Dungeon Master (GM): I was thinking of letting Sister's potions be more varied because there was a short list with prices somewhere in all this module information, which i can't locate at the moment. Sirus: I would definitely say to add some antidote potions. Dungeon Master (GM): when I say that that's 5 modules of info actually Sirus: It doesn't make sense for her to not stuff to cure common ailments if nothing else. Dungeon Master (GM): whatever was on that list (To GM): Tymora Shrine Phandelver This tenday, Sister Garaele has 3 potion(s) of healing for sale.
Sirus: You may want to just make that up yourself. Dungeon Master (GM): ok, i found something it's a random roll for what she could have available in this case Sister Garaele currently has 3 healing potions for sale at 50 gp each Sirus: Ah yes, those fiendishly expensive D&D healing potions. Think that'll probably be it. Dungeon Master (GM): shall we move to dinnertime at the stonehill inn? Sirus: We are actually okay for healing potions atm. Uh let's see, wasn't Tarth gonna do his shopping? Or has he taken care of that Tarth Tangle: yes, i needed to get some silvered bolts ROLO: im there Sirus: Yeah, so he has to go to the Lion Shield Coster And see if they have anything silvered ROLO: food drinks and tales of dragons Tarth Tangle: im in the shop, but no shopkeep Sirus: Also Marcy is gonna go talk to the dwarves. check in on them Dungeon Master (GM): ok, so let's go to the coster first then ROLO: when u get a chance let me know where i can get more spell componets Linene Graywind Says: "Hello there stranger, what can I do for you today?!" she's talking to Tarth Tarth Tangle the Tabaxi Rogue Good Day, shopkeep. i am in the area looking for some silvered items, i am on the hunt fo some local wererat nests. Would you have anything of this nature? Dungeon Master (GM): 50% chance she has a silvered weapon 50 Sirus: hah! Does that count as yes or no? Linene Graywind Says: "Well, guess what you are in luck today. I do have one in fact!" Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Tarths ears prick up, Excellent news it seems! what do you have available? Dungeon Master (GM): 1 = long sword 2=dagger, 3=4 bolts 4=4arrows 5=dagger 6=mace 3 Tarth Tangle: well thats a bingo. Sirus: !!! NICE. Juan : sweet Linene Graywind Says: "I do have 4 silvered cross bow bolts for you" Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue I am in desperate need of Silvered bolts to cure these lands of those horrid wererats, how much is that going to cost me fine shopkeep Dungeon Master (GM): just say regular equipment price + 2 more for each one Sirus: 1 gp for 20 Tarth Tangle: x20 bolts is 1gp so, Sirus: 6 SP? Tarth Tangle: roughly# Sirus: Ah wait no. 12 SP. For all 4. Dungeon Master (GM): that sounds good enough Linene Graywind Says: "12 sp for all four " Tarth Tangle: Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Tarth places 15SP on the counter, That should cover it, a toothy smile towards the shop keep. Sirus: lol a tip. Classy. Linene Graywind Says: "Thank you! have a good day now!" Sirus: btw are Juan or Marshall gonna do anything? also GM, Marcy is over here at the dwarves' place. Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Tarth bows slightly and walks out to join the party at the inn Marcuria the Human Barbarian Walks over to the front door and knocks, judging that this was where Nundro and the other dwarves were, judging by the distinctly dwarven smells. Juan : juan is mediatating Dungeon Master (GM): oh there, i sort of just dropped them in there. Juan : lol Tarth Tangle: other items from general stores i would need X100 bolts 5gp X20 oil flask 20sp X5 rations 5sp X5 glass bottles 10gp X1 common clothes 5sp if you're happy to just grab these items as time passes i'm okay with that unless you want more shopkeep interactions? Sirus: I kinda just figured this was their home kek Dungeon Master (GM): they are not hom Sirus: Okay. Then Marcy is gonna look around town for them. Dungeon Master (GM): that stuff you would get a barthen's provisions and you can have them Tarth Tangle: +1 Sirus: is Marshall gonna do anything btw? nope. Ok then. Dungeon Master (GM): ok, moving forward to evening and everyone is having dinner at the inn
Sirus: .... sigh ROLO: yes ty Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Any luck, Marcuria?" Dungeon Master (GM): ok, while you intermingle here I need to look up some info so carry on Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Yes and no. The smithy finished silvering our weapons. But I was hoping to get those dwarves to give us a hand with re-taking Mountain's Toe. They seem to have made themselves scarce." Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Maybe they are over at the other mine, getting down to business." Trilena Stonehill Says: "Oh the Dwarves have been busy at Wave Echo Cave" Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Looks around the room, for any spare bowls of milk. Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Of course they are.....fine. Guess it couldn't hurt to go check in on them there in the morning...." Takes note of Tarth, raising an eyebrow. Says: "....Is that a Tabaxi?....Only heard stories about them...." Dungeon Master (GM): chance of a spare bowl of milk 40%: 34 yep he finds one Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "The stories are mostly true, we are fierce, but we do nap a lot." Avery the Half-Elf Bard Bites back a chuckle. Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "What is your name then?" Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Tarth skadaddles over to a bowl of milk and looks around the room for its owner, then tucks in for a lapful of that glorious white stuff Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "My name you ask? Well, my name is Tarth, from my birthmother, Tarentha, the tangle? Well.. thats a long story, but i'll cut it short for you, as a young kitty i would enjoy playing in the vine and reeds around my burrow, but so very often i would get tangled in them reeds and i'd have to mew helplessley to be helped out " Sirus: rolling d20( 8 ) = 8 Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "...Oh?...Aha...I see." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "What brings you around these parts then?" (To Roqar): Thagren whispers to Roqar that the dwarves have set up a secret camp near Wave Echo Cave Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "Well, after my unit disbanded, i didn't re-up with another regiment, i've just been wandering the lands trying to find ways to keep me occupied until i inevitably return to the forces" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "..You're a soldier then...." Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "I was a scout, you see. with the 387th brigade, light infantry. as they say...first in....never gets out" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Nods silently. Roqar the Elf Rogue Turns to listen to the Tabaxi newcomer Dungeon Master (GM): roqar did you see my whispher Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "We're all a bunch of wandering adventurers ourselves. You're welcome to come with us, if you want." Roqar: No sorry Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "i seen some things, done some things, ...did a lot of things... but thats behind me, i just want to be normal for a while, maybe sleep in once in awhile, but i do get bored of the sitting around villages, so i would be more than happy to join you for any adventures" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Sure, why not?....." Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue smiles and their whiskers bounce slighty with the motion (To Lady Roqar): Thagren whisphers that the dwarves have set up a secret camp near the wave echo cave. Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "My name is Avery. My friends here are Marcuria, Juan, Lady Roqar and Marshall. The drow over there is Rolo. He's in our little adventuring group as well....seems he's not all bad, so far." Roqar: Okay Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue greets each of the party in turn. ROLO: i go last welcome tarth i am rolo the drow wizard Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Yeah...hey, howdy, all that fun stuff. How about we get some grub now? Not getting any less hungry sitting here." Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "i agree marcuria, lets eat untill our tummies are filled with yummies"
Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "There we go...great minds think alike.~" Roqar the Elf Rogue Gives the Tabaxi a friendly wave while watching the door for the Blacksmith Dungeon Master (GM): did you see a whisper Roqar? ROLO: out of game i need to figure out what spells need what for componets Dungeon Master (GM): ok rolo Roqar: Yes I saw it Dungeon Master (GM): ok Sirus: They should be listed in your spell sheet, if the spell has an "m" underneath it. Dungeon Master (GM): as sirus said ROLO: ty Sirus: Message needs copper wire, minor illusion needs fleece, Mage Armor needs cured leather, Hold Person needs straight iron, Invis needs eyelash encased in Gum Arabic, Fireball needs Bat Guano and sulfur, you forgot to put the material cost into Lightning Bolt. ROLO: yes but some will use the component which each casting i don’t know that Sirus: "A bit of fur and a rod of amber, crystal, or glass" When in doubt, look it up. ROLO: k ty guys i was going thruogh the players hb Dungeon Master (GM): the identify uses a live carp, wine, ground pearl (100 gp value) and an owl feather Sirus: Btw, if Dia is retired, can Rolo have the Wizard Hat? As he is the only other party member that can use it Dungeon Master (GM): yes Juan : sweet Sirus: Yeah that's a fun one. Once per long rest, you can try to cast a cantrip you don't know, rolling an arcana check at DC10 ROLO: what does hat do and is it atuneable Sirus: yes it needs attunement You can use it as a focus for wizard spells too, btw. funni hat magic Dungeon Master (GM): heh, which I shouldn't let it have, especially at this low level but ok ROLO: can it be a cantrip from any class or just wizard class Dungeon Master (GM): of the ones you know or wait Sirus: Any wizard cantrip. Dungeon Master (GM): yea Sirus: Yeh ROLO: ty Sirus: like mending, mind sliver, Thunderclap, Toll the Dead, anything like that that isn't already on your cantrips list. Toblen Stonehill Says: "So you folks staying in town for a bit now or heading off somewhere?" Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "We leave in the morning, I think. We have a few errands to run." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "I think we're ready to order now, by the way." (To Lady Roqar): by the way did you get the voice dialogue files?! Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue nods vigorously at marcys comment Trilena Stonehill Says: "Ok, Elsa and I will take your food orders." (From Roqar): So far about half of them probably get the rest later today Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Mutton and asparagus for me, with some of that cider." (To Lady Roqar): ok Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Partridge and apricot for me." Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "Anything with fish." ROLO: beef stew? Sirus: lol you know, the GM has a handout with the menu here. Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "I'll have the partridge and apricot also" ROLO: and ale poched dragon ty (From Tarth Tangle): i've got another game at 20:00 GMT ( 1 hr and 45 from now) justh eads up ROLO: ive subbtracted 3 sp so whats everyone want to do next? Dungeon Master (GM): ok, i think I am back! Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "i'm happy to eat up, rest up and get to clearing the area of beasties" ROLO: cool Sirus: Well I think our next mission is to get ready to go back to Mountain's Toe and wrap that up. First we should get some Wolfbane. If we get bit and contract lycanthropy, we can use the wolfbane to cure it, and not become werewolves. Dungeon Master (GM): wow, 3 times today and it doesn't happen often (From Tarth Tangle): i've got plans at 2000 gmt, 1hr 40 ffrom now (To Tarth Tangle): We usually end around 2pm eastern
Sirus: Huh. You know, 5e doesn't even have Wolfsbane. It 's a 4e thing (From Tarth Tangle): thats 20 mins ago, has the session ran over? Roqar: After dinner take a nice hot bath with the Blacksmith, rest up and be ready to go in the morning actually its a 1e/2e thing Sirus: At least that is what I presume the GM intends for us to be able to do? Or do we need to bring the wolfbane to Sister Geraele? ROLO: how much for a bath? Sirus: Well let's see, Roqar probably wouldn't want to take a bath with you period because drow. :P Roqar: not for you Drow :P especially not tonight Sirus: GM, could use some clarification on the Wolfsbane thing. ROLO: by myself ty dont want to a bath with any of u i need my privacy lol Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "Ya'll take baths? don't you just lick yourself all over to get clean?" ROLO: im sure theres more than one bath tube here Avery the Half-Elf Bard Laughed at that, loud enough that she had to cover her mouth. Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "You...don't spend much time with other races, do you?" Roqar: (I'm sure there is a bathtub here at the Inn) Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "I don't actually, my scouting team was actually made up of three of my kind and three goblins, a strange mix i agree but as a scout i was out for months at a time only reporting back by dead drops i didn't interact much with others....ofcourse i guess i interacted with enemy soldiers...but we didnt....talk" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Let's just say, most other races need to immerse themselves in water, naked, and scrub themselves clean. Their mouths aren't exactly good cleaning tools." Says: "....Divines, what am I even saying..." Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Most of us take a bath to get cleaned up" Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue is visably confused. Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Hee hee hee hee....oh, that's precious. Really.~" Dungeon Master (GM): and I am back again! Sirus: Yikes, yikes, yikes. Tarth the Tabaxi Rogue Says: "i dont really enjoy water its wet and horrible" Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "It is quite necessary, though." Sirus: GM, can I get some clarification on the wolfsbane thing? Dungeon Master (GM): you need to look for it whenever you go into the woods Sirus: Yes I know, but I mean once we get it Do we bring it to Sister Geraele so she can make some lycanthropy antidote, or do we just like, eat it? Or.... Dungeon Master (GM): i'll say if you bring it to her it's more potent Sirus: Okay, so bring it to her so she can make potions That works. Roqar: In 1e you made a tea with it drink it make a save, either your cured or your dead hehe Sirus: ....I think we can presume that won't be the case here... : X Dungeon Master (GM): well, now that she mentioned it Sirus: We're not seriously about to surgically insert 1e mechanics into 5e right? Can it just be based off of 4e if we really have to go that route? Dungeon Master (GM): I have no clue on 4e at all! Sirus: "A flowering plant found both in the natural world and the Feywild, wolfsbane is a key ingredient in a number of potions and alchemical formulas associated with warding off or harming lycanthropes. Wolfsbane is dangerous to handle, because it is poisonous to humanoids in sufficient quantities. A bundle of wolfsbane is usually enough to keep at bay a lycanthrope that lacks serious resolve; lycanthropes find its smell sickening, and though it cannot truly harm them, most go out of their way to avoid it." So actually you get poisoned if you try to just eat it whole anyways So that answers that. Fetch Quest acquired. Acquire wolfbane for Sister Geraele 5e doesn't seem to have Wolfsbane at all, btw, I looked it up Juan : alright see yall next week Sirus: bye Dungeon Master (GM): ok, so the plan is shaping to be find wolfbane and go back to Mountain's toe once you have it. Roqar: its only a brief blurb in 1e/2e tho its given a price to buy it Sirus: Yes. You can buy it, but it's actually so cheap that it renders lycanthropy stuff a fuckin' joke. Yeah, we get wolfbanes, bring it to Geraele and probably pay her to make some potions in case we get chomped on by wererats. So we don't...y'know...become werewolves and get a Bad Ending(tm) Roqar: which is most likely happening Sirus: Anyways, lemme pay for Avery and Marcy's food... ROLO: i subbtracked mine Dungeon Master (GM): ok Sirus: Done. Ah btw, this will be off-screen, but I might have Marcy buy some oil flasks as well, about 8 of them, to help with dealing fire damage to the wererats when the time comes. Dungeon Master (GM): just roll a 50% chance to find wolfbane in the nearby woods Sirus: Sometime before we head out GM, how about a Nature roll? DC10
Dungeon Master (GM): that's fine Sirus: But we can see about that the following day Dungeon Master (GM): ok ROLO: do they sell spell componets here i never put any on my charter sheet Dungeon Master (GM): yes rolo i think you can find your components here in town ROLO: ty before we leave Dungeon Master (GM): ok anything more while at the inn here? (From Roqar): Have you asked Tarth about the Sunday game? (To Lady Roqar): No I have not ROLO: long rest for sure Tarth Tangle: im ready to eat rest and murder Sirus: Ah btw GM, another thing about 4e wolfsbane. Wererats are actually low enough in fortitude that they won't willingly step in the same grid square as the stuff. ROLO: i like tarth Sirus: So in theory we could also use the stuff to physically repel attacking wererats. Dungeon Master (GM): ok Sirus: Actual werewolves can make themselves ignore it, but wererats are actually highly repulsed by it. It's 2 SP for an oil flash right? flask* Dungeon Master (GM): 1 sp Sirus: Ah ok. Then Marcy will buy about 7 of those before heading out the next day. Dungeon Master (GM): ok Roqar the Elf Rogue Roqar pays for the two meals and adds a tip 5 sp Elsa the Barmaid Says: "Thank you Roqar" alright anything else before we end the session for the day? Sirus: Not really. I guess next session starts on the following day? Roqar: Yeah probably Sirus: Btw, Roxx I may or may not be able to attend next week Dungeon Master (GM): ok, so looks like we can stop right here then Sirus: If i'm not, then you can have Marcy and Avery Roqar: Ok will do Sirus: We'll see. Hopefully I can attend anyways Dungeon Master (GM): also, Tarth, if you can play Sundays at 8pm eastern I need a player for my AD&D game ROLO: ty everyone when is next game and did we level yet Tarth Tangle: ive got a game already tomorrow sorry. but keep me posted for sessions im happy to join Dungeon Master (GM): alright ROLO: nice meeting tarth too Roqar: next week same time same channel ROLO: ty Dungeon Master (GM): OK, Folks Thanks for Playing today and see you all Next week! ROLO: later Roqar: CYA Tarth Tangle: thanks for the inv. mice meeting you all Dungeon Master (GM): and thanks for joining us! Roqar: CYA Cat next week
