1893. Saroch went to the Myers' cabin in order to take care of Mr. Myers' condition for another day and a half. She expressed her gratitude and made him aware of the fact that she had nowhere to go in Constantinople. He said he would keep her updated on where he went in order to continue caring for Mr. Myers. Polat finished The Whispering Fez later that night, managing to learn quite a few things regarding the fez and being the controller of all the fez wearers. He brought the party together, explaining he learned how to control the fez, its servants, drain the fez of POW, accelerate the transformation of its wearers into evil monsters, etc. Then they all went to bed. At 9 A.M. that morning, they all were woken up by the conducteur calling for breakfast. It was an ottoman inspired breakfast with many bowls and foods to choose from. After breakfast, they all took one last look at the Orient Express (perhaps). Rolling into Constantinople, they were alerted by the conducteur of a telegram from Munich stating that the cultists in Munich were dead and the constables had the fezzes in their possession. Two Turks, introducing themselves as the children of Professor Demir, Rana and Toprak, explained that some... events had occurred recently and they required them to travel to Demir's house before speaking about what exactly had happened. At the house, Professor Demir was leaning on a cane and wounded in the stomach. He explained that cultists had attacked him, stabbed his stomach, and kidnapped his son Barlas. They all spoke about what happened on the Orient Express, and Demir, in turn, finally spoke about their adversaries, the Children of the Blood Red Fez. He explained that the real power of the cult was Nisra, a former harem girl called The Daughter of Fate. She was the student of The Frenchman, a prominent occultist. He also explained that Hieronymus Menkaph used to be allied with a Selim Makryat, the leader of another cult. The group saw the ransom note that Demir was given, stating that the cult wanted a Fez, The Whispering Fez, and for the investigators to leave Constantinople within 24 hours. The Professor explained that he believed they would not, in fact, actually return Barlas were these demands to be met. After a suggestion from Demir, the investigators elected to be taught the spells Polat had learned. It took them 12 hours, with Demir translating the Whispering Fez in the meantime. Demir, shaken, explained how to destroy the fez, and that any blood would summon the Father of Sorcerers. After deducing that they had the only fez in Constantinople, the investigators spoke about destroying it. There was a heated argument, with Worth and Polat getting into a physical altercation. After talking about it some more, Worth stepped back, and Polat donned the Fez. It drained him of his vitality, spoke to his mind in whispers, and took away some of his sanity. He made the decision to destroy all fezzes, sacrificing even more sanity in order to do so. He succeeded, his own fez turning into red paste that permanently scarred his face- or was stuck to his face? Either way, after a few minutes, they heard a scream from across the house...
