October 7, 2018 Sunday Paladin beats
Vampire Brittany to unconsciousness and turns her over to PART for
containment. They put her in a air-tight cell that has had the walls
and door blessed by a priest. Being a vampire she has no rights
according to the Supreme Court’s decision on the 14 th
Amendment.
Kismet posts bail
for her uncle Doctor Cizko (a.k.a. Doctor Psycho) and gets him out of
jail.
Arnim Zola at the
end of dinner makes plans to have lunch with Lady Paper on Tuesday.
October 8, 2018 Monday 10AM At the Super Secret Base, the Bunker,
a little blonde girl knocks on the door. Bear answers and the girl
challenges him. She is the Bratva enforcer from little Odessa for the
Antonov Bratva. She calls him foul names but Bear does not take the
bait to fight her.
Constable upon hearing her chewing on
Bear starts talking to her the same way. He also calls New York PART
about a super being threatening them. Bear did not cave to her
goading, she did not cave to Constable’s. No one threw the first
punch. Paladin came and was the voice of
reason convincing her to leave. She was walking away as the PART van
arrived. Constable stopped goading her before the PART officers were
in earshot.
Kismet went to the Russian Tea Room to
talk to Boris Antonov but was unable to find him.
Later Paladin went to speak to Bear’s
parents. He tried to reason with his parents to get them to leave
Little Odessa so Vlad (Bear) could stop paying their protection
money. His father said he never wanted Vlad to pay. He wants to stand
up against the Bratva until his neighbors stop being afraid and
become angry. Frightened people pay, angry people fight! Paladin says that Vlad will be sad
when the Bratva kills them (his parents). He tells Vlad’s parents
that they are committing a moral crime if they don’t leave or get
killed resisting the Bratva.
Sofron tells Paladin that Vlad,
himself, or anyone else in Little Odessa would have to pay the Bratva
protection money if he (Paladin) would do his job and put the Bratva
in jail! Paladin left realizing that Sofron and
Uliana would not listen to reason.
Constable directs the formation of
this plan to deal with the Antonov Bratva. They will record them
buying high power (PART classification weapons) from Keith Cameron
(Constable) and have them arrested.
Constable lays out the following
preparations:
Have Paladin inform
and get the assistance of NYPD. Make sure whatever they bring to the
party won’t spook the Russians.
Have Kismet get
‘the’ warehouse with a perch to film from, a window within 20m
for Kismet and Bear to watch the meeting from.
The Bug (listening
device) is made Lace the weapons
from Constables contact with explosives so they can be destroyed if
something goes wrong.
Paladin has the
camera and the shotgun mic.
These preparation
and getting the weapons will take some time.
October 9, 2018 Tuesday The ghost transforms Kismet’s
clothes again. He pulls the same stunt as last time her clothes have
been altered. her shirts have been cut to reveal her stomach and the
chests have been cut to have a ‘power-girl’ like boob-window, her
pants have been replaced with micro-length miniskirts, and all her
underwear has been replaced with dental floss thongs. This time
instead of white the clothes are all the darkest black imaginable.
Kismet orders new clothes to be
delivered deciding that something must be done about this pervy
phantom.
Constable does a search to find a
picture of Arnim Zola from WWII. The picture he finds is of a
headless man with a face in his chest. This does not match the small,
plump, friendly looking older man that Abby met.
Arnim Zola takes Abby Zola out for a
5-star lunch. During lunch he says he’d like to talk about time
travel. Lady paper says she has traveled in time. Arnim nods and says
he was aware that she might have. He tells her about a Nazi
expedition to the Queen Maud Land looking for oil and other vital
resources that was attacked by, well, her and her group of super
heroes. Survivors of the slaughter managed to
get clandestine reports back to the Fatherland, reports that he
recently got copies of. The reports state that the Helmet of Magni
and Magni’s Hammer were taken by a super strong man. Arnim would
like to reacquire the items so that they can be either placed in a
museum of returned to the Bletcher family. Earth having lost so many
heroes during the Exodus it would be a good thing for a new German
super hero to arise.
Lady Paper tells him that the
artifacts were lost to time. He presses for details but she gives him
none. Arnim then asks if he can talk to the other members of the
Brooklyn Brigade, she says she will ask.
They engage in some small talk where
he said his branch of the family came to America under Operation
Paperclip and worked on America’s space program. He asks what the
Brooklyn Brigade is up to. Lady Paper tells him the Brooklyn Brigade
has been taking a few days off to recover from their recent trips
through time.
When Lady Paper gets back to the base
she tells everyone that Arnim is a scum sucking Nazi that wants the
hammer and helmet back.
October 10, 2018 Tuesday
The group has an appointment at
LexCorp. Lex Luthor is driving Cassandra Clemons and Prometheus
Medical Technologies (including The Prometheus Foundation) out of
business. He (Luthor) can’t touch Prometheus directly because
Cassandra owns 51% of the company but Luthor is taking control of her
suppliers and customers putting the company in a strangle hold.
Lex agrees to release his stranglehold
on Prometheus if the Brooklyn Brigade will help Doctor Bearclaw test
a new defensive system. This system will do much to protect the Earth
from the threats posed by aggressive aliens. He claims not to know
the details of what the system is or how it works but promised the
head researcher of the project that he would assure the help of the
Brooklyn Brigade in testing the project.
And Lex Luthor always keeps his
promises.
Doctor Bearclaw is waiting for them in
the conference room on the 75 th floor of the tower. If at
least one of the Brigade will talk to Bearclaw Lex will consider
releasing Prometheus. If no one talks to him then he will make sure
that Prometheus fails completely within a month.
Constable asks Lex to validate his
parking, Lex tells him to see his executive assistant Mercy and she
will do it for him. Constable then leaves.
Paladin, Kismet, Bear, and Lady Paper
go to see Doctor Bearclaw to find out more about the defensive
system. What they learn is that the system is synthetic pseudo
Kryptonians; loyal, reliable, and mass producible. When asked ‘loyal
to who’ Bearclaw answers to whomever purchases the system. Bearclaw
says that the United Nations and the United States would benefit
greatly from an army of pseudo-Kryptonians.
Bearclaw says they already have two
prototypes and he wants the people who defeated the Eradicator to
help test his synthetics. If the synthetics defeat the Brooklyn
Brigade that will be phenomenal advertising but if the Brigade defeat
the synthetics that will help show what needs to be improved upon. The group declines the offer. They
won’t be a party to slavery. Pseudo-Kryptonians are just another
thing on their list of worries which currently includes loosing the
base of operations, the vehicles Cassandra puts at their disposal,
their paychecks, and her considerable connections with the world of
government and high finance.
