4 years later, Thin Vertical Lines still broken?

Tried out thin lines for lighting for the first time last night and found about halfway through the session that I could not select any thin lines that were positioned vertically. I looked it up and found this thread from 4 years ago. The workaround at the time was "don't use thin vertical lines" which isn't much of a workaround to be honest. But it still seems to be an issue. Any update regarding a fix?
To be clear, this is lines in the lighting layer.

Given the new way that the vision box is implemented for tokens now, thin lines for DL use are probably a bad idea for other reasons beyond selectability. Unfortunately, that's probably still good practice to avoid them.
