Moving Recent Uploads

What did I do mistakenly?  This happened once before, I got it to stop somehow, and now it's happening again. When I upload an item, and it appears in Recent Uploads, when I then try to  drag it into My Library, or even Copy it, apparently only a link is being moved into the library while the original stays in Recent Uploads.  If I then delete it from the Recent Uploads list, it also disappears from the Library (hence it being a link rather than a copy).  How do I make it move the actual item? Thanks.
Their interface there is insanely wonky, sometimes you have to close the browser and reopen but also there is a button to the right above recent uploads that toggles it so that it filters items that have been placed in folders.  Again, that button often begins to do nothing, I had 2 large projects where I was uploading a great many card images and a great many creature token images over weeks and I spent many many hours nonstop working on these projects and I found that interface....lacking.  Close and reopen when things start to not make sense when doing things and that should fix the issues.

You are describing how the Art Library is supposed to work. You cannot make it move the actual item. You should click on the icon to hide Recent Uploads so that when you file the upload it will be hidden in Recent Uploads so you don’t delete it by mistake.

I think that might be more accurate to describe it as how the Art Library is  expected  to work. The library is not a like a desktop filing system, where files actually move to new folders*. The folders act more like tags. The filter is there to basically show or hide all tagged artwork. Filter off, it shows your entire library. Filter on, it only shows those items not tagged (filed). It's documented this way in the Help Center, but it is admittedly not intuitive. Just remember, if you delete from Recent Uploads, you are getting rid of the actual file. If you delete from a folder, you are just "removing the tag" from that file. *Neither is your desktop filing system in actuality, but it looks that way to the end user.

"Recent Uploads" is a terrible name for a spot that we're supposed to somehow realize is the definitive list of *all* of the files that we've uploaded. And that little button to filter things doesn't give a real good indication of whether its toggled or not.  And having to toggle it every time you file stuff is also a tad annoying.  It's not the best UI.
