Stormreach Recap 9--Under the Sea

Having rescued Khagra from the Bilgerats, Envy and the Outcasts set about pillaging the Bilgerats' hideout for valuable loot. For their trouble, they obtained several useful magic items and a fair amount of gold. It was time to journey to the depths and to confront the sahuagin. Setting sail on The Seven Seas , the group returned to the disputed territorial waters along the shipping lanes to Khorvaire. As before, it was not long before a sahuagin war party and their tiger sharks accosted the group's vessel. Twitch held forth the Amulet of the Devout to the Destroyer that the group had obtained from the ancient temple Neglith the aboleth inhabited. Twitch invoked "joklok," the sahuagin right to parlay. The sahuagin commander ordered his troops to stand down. Using what magic, potions, and innate ability to survive without breathing the party members possessed, the group descended into the depths following the sahuagin. After nearly an hour of submerged travel, the group arrived at a fortified sahuagin outpost on the sea floor. The sahuagin accompanied Envy and the Outcasts to meet with their high priest, a sahuagin named Kahohe. Kahohe explained that the sahuagin were attacking the surface because the Storm Lords had stolen an "Us"--apparently, an object of great worth to the sahuagin. Twitch pledged that she would do what she could to return the "Us" to the sahuagin so that the peace between the sahuagin and the surface could be restored. Before departing, the group met with Captain Redtusk, Twitch's mentor and the commander of the pirate ship Heartbreaker , who had voluntarily consented to imprisonment by the sahuagin. Redtusk told Twitch that The Traveler himself had spoken to Redtusk and had commanded him to submit to the sahuagin, and had further told Redtusk to wait until Twitch had arrived and had arranged for Redtusk's release upon completion of her mission. Returning to the surface, the group agreed to assist Twitch in the completion of her mission. Legion went to speak with the Iron Legion to find out more about the "Us." The rest of the group traveled to the King's Coin to speak with Sondar Lockman of the Jade Vipers. Legion discovered that a Lord Grengor (more accurately, likely Lord Grobuck), a functionary of House Amanatu, had participated on a diplomatic mission with the sahuagin on behalf of the House. Sondar confirmed for the group that House Amanatu appeared to be responsible for taking the object from the sahuagin, and that the object was apparently The Wave, which was a physical manifestation of the sahuagin history. Yorick Amanatu, the House Amanatu leader, was reputed to possess The Wave on the House Amanatu stronghold that sat on one of the floating sky rocks above Stormreach. Sondar told the group that the Amanatu stronghold would undoubtedly have Kundarak security measures that would require some form of Kundarak key to disable. Twitch utilized the sending services of House Sivis to contact Lady Alna, the dwarf noble the group had rescued from House Amanatu just weeks prior, and to request her assistance in obtaining a Kundarak key for House Amanatu. Lady Alna instructed Twitch to go to House Kundarak's outpost in Stormreach in 24 hours to obtain a key, which turned out to be a key to the front door of Yorick Amanatu's mansion (although Alna cautioned that it might not disable all of Yorick's security). Envy and Lukar sought out and purchased a scroll of the Levitation  spell for the group's use in obtaining access to the Amanatu floating stronghold. After a day's preparation and under the cover of darkness, the group mounted their incursion to the floating mansion-rock. Sh'Nezz'Tar shielded the group in a sphere of Darkness  while Lukar cast Levitation.  Twitch cast Pass without Trace  and, as the first one up to the top of the rock, helped to conceal the group's landing zone. Eventually, the entire group safely reached the LZ, which was a quiet corner in the garden on the grounds of the Amanatu mansion. Between the group and the mansion, Lord Yorick's personal manticore and several guards patrolled the grounds. Now it was up to Envy and the Outcasts to decide: launch an all-out assault, or continue their stealthy incursion to obtain The Wave?
Twitch was able to parlay with the Sauhaugin without a fight (there were a lot of them)  She found out that an important relic called the Wave was stolen from them.  We're not sure what it looks like, but it may resemble a trident.  We tracked it down to the house of Lord Yorrick, leader of house Amanatu.  He lives on a floating rock.  We had 24 hours to sleep and prepare to infiltrate Lord Yorrick's castle.  We finally decided that Lukar would cast levitate on me and I would carry each party member up under cover of a sphere of darkness.  the plan actually went off without a hitch (we all bought feather tokens in case there was a hitch).  Now, to deal with the guards and a pesky manticore.
