When introducing themselves.  Elves, especially the nobles always pronounce their name, their House and then their station/status within the house.   For Example, Helerie, daughter of Lord Galanodel, would say, “I am Helerie heir to House Galanodel."     This would denote her not only of the Noble family, but heir apparent to the house.   Sir Bradford would say, "I am Sir Bradford, 4th born of House Morlana."   If you notice since he is a Griffin Knight, he has the honorific of Sir, but he does not say he is a Griffin, the title of Sir already denotes him as a being knighted.      A commoner that is not noble born would simply say I am Bob of House X.   This tells a person by their introduction whether the person is a noble or not.  Everyone is of a House, but only the Nobles would have ranking within the Noble family.   This ranking of birth only is given only for the immediate family and heirs. A spouse of a Lord or Lady of a Noble house would say, "I am Ezechiele, husband of Lady Thiala of House Fenleth."   This denotes that even though he is lord of the house, he is not head of the house and defers that honor to his spouse.      Now, a person that holds a position of status within the provinces would again announce such   I am Bob, First Warrior of House Ulatris   Common positions that residents of Thechlon announce   Member of the City Guard would say.   "I am X of House X's City guard" Member of the House Guard are called Difensore (The separation is that a member Noble House’s City guard force is that they are the acting law enforcement of the province.  A House Guard or Difensore means just that, they work and protect the members of the noble family in the activity of guarding the house to acting as bodyguards. Plural Defensori)     They would say, "I am X , Difensore  for Galonadel." Member of the Legion.   Each Province oversees the recruitment, training, and maintenance of a legion.  The Legion though is answerable to the Crown.  Think of the National Guard, each state has their own National Guard, but the president can activate the National Guard and deploy them if necessary.   I am X, of House X's Legion.
