(LFG) [D&D 5E] Couple looking for a group! Sundays GMT+1 [Voice chat - Discord]

Hello everyone! We are both 24 years old, living in the UK - Looking to find a group for a weekly D&D game. We both have a few years experience playing D&D both table-top and via Roll20 & are happy to play in a group with new players. The base of our experience has been around modules, with a few games of home-brew. We're available around 3pm to 6pm GMT+1 (assuming the game may last up to 4 hours or so), but ideally would like to finish a session before or around 10pm. A bit about us Harry - I tend to like playing chaotic good characters, an odd healer-type with everyone's welfare in mind but that doesn't mean I'm opposed to other classes or play-styles. I recently graduated university for video game design/development, working on a career as a game programmer and so I do appreciate the amount of planning and effort DM's put in to building the world of a game. It's tough work! I do enjoy the story aspect of a game, getting to develop a character and grow alongside with the whole party. Though I also find combat enjoyable as it helps to break up segments and helps bring people out of their shell a little bit (Which is nice to see!). All in all I do feel I am a bit of a jack-of-all-trades and that to me, D&D is more of a social tool to develop some friendships & have a fun game, rather than having the sole purpose to level up, get powerful and defeat the BBEG.  Gabi - Howdy! Fresh science school graduate over here with a keen interest in digital art and animation. My imagination is usually working over time, so I thoroughly enjoy the story telling aspect of D&D, epic combat scenes, as well as making good friends along the way! :D  Intrigue, shady deals made by candle light in the corner of a dark alley, secret notes and *sticky fingers* >:) ...yep, you guessed it, I tend to play characters that have interesting ways to get around in life. That being said, I am a devout team player and can mold to whatever role the party desires most! I am very goofy, usually crack a dad joke at the most inappropriate times, and would definitely push the big red button labeled ''DO NOT TOUCH'' under pretty much all circumstances ...:D *cough cough* If you're currently running or starting a group and you feel that we might be a good fit, feel free to get in touch - We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!
Hi! I'm also looking for a game, if you're willing to add one more to your group! I'm also UK Based. I have about a year experience, and I like the story aspect of D&D, and I have no real preference to  character making! I normally just pick whatever other's don't and make my character around the Race and Class chosen! I have discord if that makes it easier! I hope we get to make a little group and play some time soon!  Discord: Veil#1921 Thanks for your Time.  Veil (Jack)
Hi there!  Would you be willing to play with a relatively new, US-based DM? (I have a about 4 months of running a Werewolf the Apocalypse game, which my players seem to enjoy). I can't do voices, sadly. I'm thinking about starting a story/RP heavy 5e game in a homebrew setting. Would you be free to play Saturdays starting at about 6pm GMT+1? I usually run a game about 3 hours, going over if we need to find a good stopping place, but I rarely hit 4 hours unless the players are comfortable with that. Are you comfortable with using Discord for VC and text with Roll20 primarily for visuals and rolls? If any of this works for you or sounds ok, please don't hesitate to let me know! (Brief description of the game I'm planning: The war for Eternal Summer has been going on for nearly a decade and it seems the golden army of Solmett, the god of Summer and Family, is finally on the verge of winning. But what secrets are hiding behind this war? Who remembers the gods that are no longer worshiped as Solmett seeks to ascend the throne of sole deity of the continent? The only one left openly defying Solmett is Kesthe, goddess of the Night and of Secrets, and her followers.  Will you help the golden army win their war and overthrow the rest of the gods of the pantheon, perhaps for power of your own? Will you dedicate yourselves to the fallen gods and seek to bring balance back to the continent? Will you dive deep into the history of the continent and bring back to light the truth of the continent's origins? How will you change the world, or will you simply stand aside and let others change it for you?)
Hey Lauren,  Your idea for the home-brew sounds captivating and we would love to hear more! We do like to use Discord for voice chat since we find that easier with player interaction, as well as combining that with Roll20 like you mentioned. Sadly though I (Harry) tend to work Saturdays from noon until late evening (10PM GMT+1) so as a result we're mainly available to play Sundays (Or Monday evenings if you happen to run a session then?). Feel free to let us know if any of those days work for you - Cheers!
Hi Veil, We've sent you a message, just thought we'd let you know here too! :)
Sundays work great! And I'm happy to discuss my homebrew setting game further. Were there any particular questions you had?
Awesome! That would be great, thank you! Forgive us if we go a little overboard with the questions, we're super enthusiastic! :D Are there any races or classes you don't allow? Such as unearthed arcana. What's your ideal player character creation process (I.e. Do you prefer backstory-rich characters & if so, would you prefer that we worked together with you to create them or that we independently make up our own backstories). What's your stance on multi-classing? How many players would make up an ideal party for you? Do you happen to use battle maps/tokens for combat sequences and visuals for map travel? What level of importance do you put on character welfare (how important is drinking/eating)?  Would it be okay if the game was kept without elements of 18+? Lastly, if you have any questions for us, please don't hesitate to ask! Also our discord handles are: Bumble#6150 (Gabi) & HazzaM#9085 (Harry)

No restrictions that I can think of, though some things will be adjusted for the setting. For example, orcs while rough and violence prone, are not complete savages and half-orcs would be acceptable to both races in general. UA would be a case by case basis though. I will also likely flavor some races/classes for the setting. I really enjoy backstory rich characters and enjoy working together to create a character that is both fun to play and that has their own place in the plot. I don't want a plot that would be exactly the same no matter which PCs there are. As someone who enjoys multi-classing myself, I'm all for it. I'd probably keep the party to around 5 players. I use a mix of maps and theater of the mind. Maps will be used for combat and some maps for over all world locations, but not necessarily for all situations.  I'd say a medium to low level importance to focus on eating or drinking. It's something to keep in mind more at certain times than others.  I don't have a problem skipping 18+ content. Off the top of my head I can't think of any that I would allow. *I've sent friend requests to both of you
