DnD essentials kit to roll 20

First time playing in 20 years. So i purchased a kit from local store. its the dragon of icespire set. It comes with rules, adventure book, quest cards, items, sheets and sidekicks.  Here is my question. I would like to take this kit i purchased and make it available online via roll20 so frieds that are further away from me can join in on the game. I have no idea where to find the quest cards or side kicks, items or maps to add to my roll 20 game. This si all new to me:) thanks

Physical game pieces could be scanned or photographed and imported that way, provided you only share them with your game and don't provide the raw images to others directly.  You cannot create marketplace content out of that. Anything in the SRD for DnD5e is available in the Compendium in game, just be sure you set your character sheet to one of the 5e sheets, or choose the DnD 5e compendium in the Game Settings. Anything else, you'd either need to buy from the Marketplace (costs money, but saves time), or create manually (saves money, but takes longer).
ok, cool. since i purchased the physical set from a store, and it does come with a digital copy of everything from DnD beyond, and i have found the quest cards, and the sidekick cards about 5 minutes ago, if i take screen shots of those, how do i use them in roll 20 as actual cards?  to bad my digital version from dnd beyond cant be imported to roll 20 haha

I don't know much about the digital version at DnD Beyond, but you can likely download the images (even if you just right-click, save-as), then upload them as cards in a deck on Roll20.

Ok, thats cool to know. thank you very much for explaining that to me. Ill see what i can do. I have also contacted customer support for roll20 to see if i can import or if other options are available to me at this time:) what about character sheets for the sidekicks that can be hired?
The thing to understand is that Roll20, D&D Beyond (DDB), and Wizards of the Coast (WotC) are all separate companies.  Wizards of the Coast owns the Dungeons & Dragons content, and licenses it to Roll20 and DDB, and each of those licenses is a separate agreement on how to sell & distribute the content to customers.   The Essentials Kit was a one-time collaboration between DDB and WotC to give access to customers who bought the physical books on DDB.  But otherwise there is no connection between physical purchases made to DDB or Roll20.  When you buy a physical copy of the Players Handbook or Dungeon Master's Guide or any other sourcebook, DDB and Roll20 do not get any money from that.   With that being said, you are perfectly free to create/copy content that you own in one form for use in another form for personal use.  So scanning the books you own and making them into digital versions and uploading into Roll20 is perfectly fine, as long as you're not selling it to others.  Taking digital versions from DDB and importing it into Roll20 is also fine. It just takes time and work to do so. I've found that repurchasing adventure modules on Roll20 is worth the time and effort it would take me to recreate all the maps, dynamic lighting lines, tokens, etc. on Roll20. In addition, if you already have content on DDB, but you want to use Roll20 for the VTT, you can use a browser extension called Beyond20  to port rolls from DDB into Roll20.  It will not move any content into Roll20 (such as maps or tokens), but it will allow you to use the character sheets on DDB, and your players can click on buttons on DDB, and the rolls will show up in the Roll20 chat window as though they had clicked on character sheets in Roll20. You will still need to create/import/purchase whatever maps and token images you want to use in Roll20.
