A strange phenomenon was sighted over the southern Harrowmere this past week, with farmers claiming that they saw a strange, green glow emanating from the swamp during the New Moon. Sir Quincy Penfold III  has offered 1,500 gold pieces to the group that can discover the source of the eerie glowing, either during the next new moon or, preferably, sooner. Sigi's Travel  They call this swampland, quite a bit different to what I'm used to, the grounds all squishy, kinda like the feeling when you have a little dwarfs head under your foot...i like it to be honest. Was quite the dangerous time traveling out east, tribe is probably doing fine without me wherever they are. I did come across a big ol green troll with slimy skin, they didn't really care that i was like them, they just tried to eat me, luckily a caravan came along that was heading to a place called Hope, i hope Hope is safer than out here...hopefully.  Was weird being saved by humans as usually I'm on the side of the big green guys but hey it worked out for me, maybe they think i'm an elf or sumin. Hope is quite lovely, has large walls to keep everything out but my magic stick feels it dont work here, weird... maybe I need a new druid ‘ead to refill its magic (Note to self, befriend another druid until its death and replace staff skull with his/hers for more magic juice.) I gotta find tracks of where the tribe is, a group is going out to investigate some green glow, could be ol Vergen “No-Thumbs” the shaman cooking up something fierce, maybe i'll tag along to see if its them and if not maybe i'll find something that will point me in the right direction. Tribe always said “beware civilized folk” but I don't judge, they all taste the same to me but these folks seem to be alright. We chatted while camping after traveling south, a very talkative polished gem was gathering information about us which is odd because I didn't know gems could speak. When my watch came around I was paired up with an elf called  Naffrel?..Nefathal? His name was Nail, quite a nice chap, we got to talking about the life of a nomad, nothing gets my respect more than a fellow traveler and seeing the wonders the world has to offer. I probably like him the most compared to the shroom lovin goblin, the one winged chickenman, the very pale little elf boy or the shiny pebble. Nelafill...Nail offered to help me find my trollfolk, what a generous offer, not sure if i should tell him that they eat elves...eh probably not important. Got a bit of shut eye until a bunch of sacks started to attack us, never been attacked by a sack before but then again i've never heard a gem talk to me, weird place. Went a bit rough, the little albino shot an arrow in my back but luckily that's where my rocks are kept so it didn't hurt too bad...come to think of it I did whack someone with my magic stick, maybe we were just overtired. Anyways we packed up and headed towards the glow, sadly it wasn't ol “No-Thumbs” but just a big mound of rocks, the little addict goblin whack it with a crowbar and we went into a cave beneath it, some fella with no skin was just walking about...so i whacked him with my stick but he had some mighty fine armor on. Together we clobbered the old fuck and had a look about, the goblin was trying to get high off some red moss and the milky elf was having a coughing fit...all going to plan i see.  “Huh, what's that sound?” I thought to myself,  I turned my head and saw another skinless man running towards me carrying something. I swinted really hard to see what he was holding…”oh it's just a massive axe, I wonder why he is running at me thou…..”(Cut to black)

All that glows green is not a Feywild encounter... Quite the collective assortment I seem to have signed up with this time. Dear Vilkya proves to be a slight upon the good name of Elven archers... gods smile on her, I almost feel I need to point out to the rest of the group that the mighty Eladrin would not be so lax with our arrow placement - otherwise we may end up a target for anyone looking to expand their empire! Luckily, I think the rest of the party were so "interesting" that they probably didn't notice! From Sylander "the Punctual" rolling up looking like actual death, to the one winged wonder Judah, the incredibly "handsy" Goblin Dot, the talking collection of rocks Meth, and the other talking collection of semi-rocks Sigi, it sure is a unusual group! This is exactly the kind of weird experience that makes me think I really must send word home to recommend Hope for all to visit if the wanderlust takes them! Hearing rumours of a "strange green light" in the direction of the "Hagwood", I was immediately put in mind of a potential Fey encounter... I may only have been gone a few decades but I was certainly keen to see the old place if it proved so... Our first night under the stars proved an interesting one. So many new, unfamiliar faces, we soon settled to chatting about our differences and getting to know each other a bit. Unfortunately, this seems to have fostered some negative feelings? As I was on watch with Sigi, several fabulous scarecrows wandered out of the gloom. Rousing the others, Sigi threw a torch southwards to try and shed more light when several more arrived in the North. Next thing I know, we're all swinging at each other! Seemed a bit weird but I'm always up for a new experience... although just as I started to think this might not be a solid plan after all, my body froze up and suddenly I was waking up on the floor! I managed to jump to my feet and get Judah away from one of the things menacing him before I unleashed the fury of the ancestors and dispatched one of the foes! Next thing I know I'm on the floor again... my arms really hurting... it was at this point Sylander turned up! What a heroic entrance... Eventually we managed to dispatch the last of them. Delightful Dot got me back on my feet, I wonder what's in those wonderful concoctions she always seems to have squirrelled away?  The source of the glow is disappointingly not from the forest (or the Feywild it seems) but from an interesting looking barrow or tomb. Meth was quick to point out the glow from the rocks wasn't a "natural" phenomenon while Dot pried open the entrance with a crowbar and we headed into the darkness below. Lighting a torch seemed an obvious plan but no sooner had I done so than I lost sight of Sigi disappearing round the corner ahead. Hurrying to catch up with him, I saw a giant skeletal figure! Dropping the torch, I quickly hit it right in the eye socket with an arrow but it kept pushing forward. Sigi was holding it up superbly but there was barely room to swing a kobold and it took us a little while to handle the brute (although I'm a little hazy on some of the details as I may have passed out momentarily). As we stood there panting from exertion, Dot seemed to stagger into some sort of mould and started looking quite ill. Thinking I'd pick up my torch again, I spotted Vilkya looking at her bow, as mentioned, she was struggling somewhat with the dank dungeon... however, she and Meth checked the doors we could reach to see if there were any traps afoot. Signalling the all clear, she opened the door to a storage cupboard and started sneezing! That seems to have alerted something to our presence as a door burst open to the west of Sigi and he took a giant axe to the face and went down in heap! I quite forgot my training at that point and rushed forward with my rapier (instead of retreating and raining down arrows like my training suggests)... now I found myself confronted by several more skeletal creatures before there was once again darkness. As I opened my eyes, I saw Dot standing over me... that glorious Goblin might be my guardian angel! In the near distance, I can hear Sylander call on his gods to help.... I hope they can hear us down here...

Judah’s Diary Journal : Green Glows the Moon. Day #1 Hello Journal. My therapist has told me that I should start writing down my thoughts somewhere so I guess that's what I’m doing now. The therapist said that it will help with the voice in my head telling me to “purge all evil” and “help the unfortunate” or whatever. Let’s see if it works. It was another cold as fuck day in Hope and I didn’t . When I saw the individuals our party was made of I knew this was gonna be interesting. We had Meth the Crystal Man, a Trollish dude named Sigi, and Dot the Goblin. There were also two elves, Vilkya and Nelathrall. Some of them were weird but who am I to judge? Nelathrall asked some locals for directions but other than that it was an uneventful day. Around the campfire we learned a bit more about each other. Nelathrall and Meth were pretty much carrying the conversation so I stayed out of it. I wish Meth would stop condescendingly calling us meatbags. It’s a bit annoying to be honest. When they inevitably asked me about my wing, I told them about the wing and how I got it and all that. I also warned them that I might swap personalities. Hopefully I don’t. I had a nice fireside chat with Nelathrall and asked him about elven reincarnation. It was interesting. I'm gonna hit the hay for today. Judah out. Day #2 Well last night we were attacked by Scarecrows that could move. I had no idea something like that even existed but there they were. One waddled next to me and began to cackle. That’s when Meth decided to attack me from behind and said some bullshit about how “my wing always bothered him” so fuck that guy. I blacked out after one of the scarecrows hit me. Apparently when I was knocked out Nelathrall saved me and teleported me out of harm's way. That was a pretty cool guy move. A dude came out of the darkness and started healing people. His name was Sylander. A bit weird but hey we needed all the help we could get. We managed to vanquish the scarecrows and I went straight to bed afterwards. It was a stressful night. Currently we’re approaching the tomb. I check and look behind me to see what Meth is doing. So far he hasn’t made any moves on my wing yet but, when he does I’ll be ready. Ready. As. Fuck. I’ll continue writing after we exit the tomb. Judah out.
Better late than never - Sylandar's recap After leaving my mates in Korthos to let them handle the job themselves, I finally found a group that could use my skill. I wasn't so excited for a long time (thank you oh Great Helm for letting me keep my emotions along with my soul). Probably that is why I had troubles to go into my total inactive state require to rest properly AND why it ended so late. I was drifting into the darkness with vision of our victories all around frontiers and vision of being a part of yet another one. That was until the dream has been interrupted by the loud ping in my head and split second of images flashing portraiting adventurers I was supposed to venture out with in the state beyond saving. A chill went down my spine as I burst out of the bed to see my companions' beds already made and themselves nowhere to be found. Not wasting any second I grabbed my gear and ran off after them. Tracks were fresh so it wasn't that much of a problem to find them but it took me a whole day and I still had some distance to cover. Finally I spotted light of a campfire in the distance and the smile appeared on my cold face. But it wasn't for long for the light I was seeing started to flicker and the sounds of combat could be heared. With last bits of energy left in my body I sped in that direction only to see my companions not only in the bloodied state but also HACKING AT EACH OTHER  intead of enemies which looked somewhat like scarecrows (?). I immediately screamed at them asking what in the nine hells they were doing. Thankfully that was enough to wake them up from their trance but they looked kinda dumb founded. They all just looked at me and not much thought about it, said that these scarecrows told them to and that they were really convincing (HOW!?). There was not a time for talking and knowing that we started slowly but surely turning the tide. With all taking correct targets now, it didn't took long when we finally disposed of the faul creatures and I could finally repay my late arrival by proving myself useful tending to party's wounds taking my time taking care of them one by one. I asked why they didn't wake me up and was about to scold them for being so careless but they told me they acctually tried but to no effect (Have I become a deep sleeper? No way...)so they went on without me. After my finishing my duty I've set up my tent and took much required rest. The next day with me in a roll of navigator it took us no time to get to our destination which appeared to be... a tomb (of course...). Our brave duo of fresh meat - Dot and Sigi took the lead. I was genuinely shaking going through the slim passage hallway remembering the staircase to the place of my demise (I might have acctually poop myself a bit but as one of my old friend's said "As long as the shit is in the pants' leg, everything's alright"). I composed myself after the party started sheding some light with torches only to let us see a damn skeleton at the end of the hallway staggering towards us. One skeleton was not supposed to be  a challenge for us but it definetly is in a tight place when we can't use our number advantage in it's full capacity. We got a bit battered by it but there was no grevious injury syffered so we pushed on. Dot's shrp goblin eyes spotted a well made statue at the end of the corridor but as she went to grab it the stench of purple mold made her step back. Not wanting to risk and unneccessary dissease we just went about our bussiness. Vilkya opened first doors and went in. She said the room was clear beside some containers (urns of some sort?) and so she went to check them when she suddenly sneezed. Following the echo of her sneeze in the silence of the tomb we heard what we were afraid might have happenen... More undead. It started by A single skeleton leaving the other room with a massive axe and bringing it down on Sigi who got knocked out by the impact. "One skeleton, okay... It shouldn't be a problem to deal with" I thought BUT when then Nelathrel (I still didn't get a hang on the pronounciation (God, elvish names are hard...)) limped into the room... Yeah.. It wasn't just one skeleton... Our party still didn't recover after last fight so I started blasting my leftover healing magic running low on mana. My body still in a good shaped and my pray to Great helm took an effect and took the undead with the axe out of the fight for now but my magic running low is making me dizzy.  Dear Good Gods and every Right Being, please help us get through time of our hardship. Oh Great Helm, please shed your divine light to protect my companions from the evil beneth and lend me strength to be their shield on your behalf.

Green Glows the Moon as told by Meth   My esoteric studies have brought me to the surface world and specifically to the region known parochially as the Savage Frontier. It is savage indeed, with none of the order that surrounds the all-mind, each individual crystal chiming in harmony with the whole…  No, it is a strange place populated by carbon-based life-forms that somehow believe they are the pinnacle of evolution. In the town of Hope (a misnomer if ever they was one; I believe a dragon ravaged it only a few lunar cycles ago) I met with a number of like minded individuals determined to explore the strange natural or supernatural phenomena to be found in Southern Harromere. I say like minded but in truth, their minds were as alien to mine as were their bodies, as I was to discover when I spoke with them during our travel. We headed South from Hope and travelled undisturbed for a full day, pausing only to exchange a few words with a rustic individual associated with various agricultural pursuits. The Agriculturalist confirmed we were on the right course to find the source of the green light emissions and so we continued on until making camp that night. Naturally I thought to spend the time until dawn talking with the others and making plans for the next day but to my surprise the majority of them needed to indulge in something they referred to as ‘sleep’.  Apparently, these poor flesh creatures have minds that are overcome with the mental effort of putting one foot in front of the other to the point where they have to shut them down for fully one third of their entire existence!  Monstrous! In any case, before their weary brains failed them, I learnt their names and origins and even tried to understand their esoteric philosophies.     One fellow named Sigi Savolla was reassuringly a fellow silicon-based creature, at least on his father’s side (I’ve no idea what that means).  He called himself a Trollkin but whatever kinship he had with me didn’t spare him the nightly brain death that seems to afflict so many on the surface world.  Then there was a tiny creature called Dot (a Goblin?) who talked very fast and seemed very intelligent in a rather quaint way. A third companion called itself Judah, an unusual creature with a single wing growing out of it’s back, a phenomena it was completely unable to explain.  The more I probed on the matter the more confused and defensive it became. I tried to explain that it was undoubtedly the consequence of surrendering consciousness but I think I offended it, I have no idea why.  Perhaps the expression ‘thin skinned’ is apt. These flesh creatures must have very thin skins indeed if mere words can prick them to such an extent.  Rounding out our party were Vilkya and Nelathrell, These were clearly higher order carbon based individuals for neither required sleep.  They were an Elf and an Eladrin respectively and I kept watch and spoke with them for quite some time. During the night were were suddenly attacked by a trio of supernatural predators in the form of humanoid bodies supporting a vegetable of the Cucurbita family.  At first I thought they were of Cucurbita Pepo but after watching them deal several blows I upgraded them to Cucurbita Maxima .  In any case the fight didn’t go well, for they possessed psychic attacks the wrecked havoc on our party.  Even I, one of truly disciplined thought, briefly fell sway to their enchantment and suddenly decided cut the wing off poor Judah.  Their mental attack was most curious and I can’t help but wonder they proved so effective by utilising our subconscious biases to override our Super Egos in order to incapacitate our ability for higher thought. In any case, it was utter chaos as we attacked each other as much as we did the Cucurbita. All may well have been lost had a pale individual not appeared to turn the tide. Our saviour called himself Sylander and his magic proved most potent, restoring us to health and striking down one of the creatures.  Eventually we prevailed and rested for the remaining night-time in order to restore our powers and physical well-being. There’s not much more to say after that.  We reached out destination which proved to be a stone door leading underground.  While exploring the structure we encountered several undead creatures which proved difficult to defeat in the narrow confines of the passage-way.  It was during the second of these fights that I came to the conclusion it was illogical for me to continue.  The matter would be decided by brute force (not my forte) and the dungeon structure lacked anything of archaeological interest.  I return to Hope and with the intent of joining another expedition to hopefully explore somewhere more interesting…
