Hello, everyone! I am hoping to find a campaign in D&D 5E to play out my new character that I have been conducting for a while now. I have been playing D&D 5E, Mutants and Masterminds 3E, Pathfinder, and other assorted games for about 5 to 6 years, but I am pretty much an open book to anything that would definitely catch my eye. I am usually free on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after 6PM EST. Thank you all for reading my post, and hope you enjoy the story! ;) Here is the basic background story for my character: Within the small village of MoonCraven, lies a young soldier in training who wants nothing more to protect those that he has truly cared about. Despite his usual antics of wanting to seek out adventure into the forgotten realms, he believes that his priority is to protect his family and his beloved Briella, who is said to be one of the lunar princesses of Selune herself. On one fateful night, tragedy struck. A powerful bandit army has raided the town's village, causing havoc under the name of “Darkened Light”. During the raid, the town’s captain ordered Joland to search for Briella, in hopes that she would call in favor of Selune for intervention. But as soon as Joland went out to search for her, he discovered the horrible sight of the lifeless body that is Briella. Stricken by the sorrow and guilt of not being her guardian, he begs to the moon goddess to let him pledge his loyalty to her, to stop the bandits from hurting anyone else and to have him serve under her name and in Briella’s. And from his prayer, he received the blessing of Selune’s kiss, making him transform into a blue and silver werewolf. From this transformation, he went back towards the town, and rampaged against the now terrified bandit army. As soon as they all fled, his rage turned back to mourning, falling onto his knees as people started to circle him, not knowing that the werewolf was actually Joland. Just as the villagers are about to attack him, a beam of light illuminates from the moon’s glow, and the spirit of Briella is shown to everyone. She explains that the wolf that is kneeling was Joland, and that it was not his fault for the misdeeds that were caused. She further explained that her spirit now rests upon the moon, alongside her goddess and sisters to give her time away from the chaotic earth she had lived on. Seeing how Joland is still filled with mourning and guilt over the event that had happened, Briella gave him a purple heart pendant that shall be a token of her loyalty and love to him, and explains that when his spirit leaves his mortal body, she will see him within the realm of twilight, to happily embrace her knight under the full moon. As soon as he hears those words, Joland soon proposes to her that before his time shall come, he will bring light within this dark chaotic world. So that when they meet again, he will have stories of his exploits to tell to her. With tearful smiles and a final kiss, Briella dissipates into the night sky. With some help from villagers and some discouraging looks, Joland gathered up his weapons, armor and anything else that he would need to begin his long adventure. As he leaves his home, he wonders about the world that he will face, and the challenges he would be facing. But from the warmth of the heart pendant close to him, it gives him reassurance that no matter the path, his princess of the moon shall always be by his side.
