SSL Error

July 29 (11 years ago)
I have tried to fix this particular error for awhile now but to no avail, including changing my modem. I can load the main page just fine, but when I login, the layout no longer loads properly. I have tried this on Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet explorer, all bearing the same result, along with seperate computers using the same network. Here is the console errors I recieved right after logging in. Failed to load resource: net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net/assets/base.css?1401285446 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net/assets/base.js?1401285446 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net/assets/browse.js?1405432714 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net/images/logo-sq-32.png Failed to load resource: net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net/images/whitelogo.png

you said you tried multiple browsers on the same computer so that should indicate it is not a misbehaving browser plugin.Did you disable them just to be sure?

You stated you tried multiple computers on the same network. Is one of them a laptop or tablet so you can take it to a different network and test it that way?

you also said you changed your modem. Is this issued from your isp? Can you examine your settings in the modem?

I did a quick search and your protocol error shows up as being blocked, due to a local firewall, proxy server rule, DMZ/edge firewall rule, parental lock system, etc. Most of the fixes I found just state to go into your options on your computer and change your internet options to: Use "Use TLS 1.0, SSL 2.0 & 3.0" if you are using windows. There is some out there that state your port 443 is blocked but I don't know anything about that. It might be your isp doing something if your computers work fine on another network or it is in your modem or router.

There is another method but I don't know if that would apply to your situation. it is:

STEP-1: Unhide all the files and folders.
STEP-2: Then,go to,, C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.
Step-3: Right click on hosts file, then click properties.
Then click security tab. After that click edit.
STEP-4: Here, click system and you have to check on allow full control and uncheck deny.
STEP-5: Click OK and then OK.
STEP-5: Now delete the hosts file.

Now I'm not saying that any of this will fix your problem, it is just what I found on the net after doing a quick search and reading. Use at your own risk and all that stuff.

Good luck.

Thanks you for the reply Pat. It would appear it had something to do with my ISP...for the issue resolved itself a few moments ago. I will keep this thread favorited should the problem occur again though.

Good to hear that it fixed itself. Post if something happens again.

Good luck and happy gaming

Oh the problem reoccured. But simply deleting hosts file (after copying it in case something goes wrong of course) seems to fix it!
