Talk about your fixer-uppers. Envy and the Outcasts fought valiantly against the master vampire Lady Furnau and her loyal pack of wolves. While the wolves succumbed reasonably quickly to the companions' onslaught, Lady Furnau responded with fury and fire--literally--as she nimbly moved around the battlefield and cast withering spells seemingly at will. Eventually, the Outcasts succeeded in focusing their attacks on the undead creature; and with Yipping unsheathing the Sun Sword to deal radiant sunlight damage to the vampire and her minions, Lady Furnau grew increasingly desperate. Notwithstanding Lukar's admonition to finish the vampire using the Sun Sword, however, Lady Furnau fell just before Yipping could close the distance. As Lady Furnau fell, the dark forces that she had been marshaling enveloped the Outcasts, and the companions were pulled away from Eberron into Mabarra, the plane of darkness. They found themselves surrounded by an army of the undead; and as the companions assessed and regrouped, the primary question that coalesced was:  How do we get home? The group turned to their resident vampire, Lukar, for guidance. The best suggestion was to travel to the nearby city of the undead to seek out the First Vampire in an attempt to return to Eberron. Within the shadow city, shades and skeletons passed the companions seemingly without noticing them. At Twitch's urging, Lukar approached two giant skeleton guards--which responded by attacking the Outcasts! In the streets of Los Muertos, the Outcasts battled the city's guardians with the companions' typical ferocity. Victorious yet again, Lukar and Yipping noticed a human boy beckoning the group from an alleyway. The boy named Teko--who emanated a celestial aura to Sh'Nezz'Tar's keen senses--led the group to a basement hideaway. There, Teko revealed that he was trapped in Mabarra like the Outcasts, but he was aware that the undead council was guarding a portal that the companions could use to escape. With that information, the group prepared to find their way to the undead council and the portal that could lead them home.
We fought the vampire, Furnow, and a pack of wolves.  The wolves fell relatively easily, the vampire took a lot more effort.  Yipping with the sun sword was able to nearly finish her off.  when she fell, however, she had a surprise for us, we were transported to M'barra, the land of shadow.  As I am relatively comfortable in the shadows, this did not affect me as negatively as it did the others.  We followed an army of the undead into a decaying city.   Lukar tried to communicate with a couple of huge skeletons.  They were having none of it and attacked immediately.  They were tough and hit hard, but when we were able to concentrate our fire, we were able to take them down in turn.  Not knowing where to go next, Yipping and Lukar noticed a young boy.  My divine sense told me he was a celestial.  The boy led us to a basement where we could rest.  He told us of a portal guarded by the undead council.  I'm not sure what that is, but I'm sure they won't be friendly.
