Something had crept into the camp through the undergrowth. I was sitting winding my springs. Wrendell and Eldon were looking over the ridge into the valley when they struck. At first I thought it sounded like Samba was getting intimate with someone but then a cry went out. Wrendell rushed over to a lighted tent and found Samba in the embrace of a vampire. Lea was also being assaulted so I sounded my alarm and jumped up to help as well. Samba had turned grey, Lea was horror struck but Nickolai seemed driven by some inner demon. The battle took another odd turn when a Ghoulish leader joined the fight followed by a hunter that had been tracking this group. The hunter helped us destroy the undead squad and agreed to help us in our holy quest to Johzt. This hunter agreed to accompany us to Jozht. He had been following a darakhul warband and was scouting a small group of outliers when they attacked us. A few days later we arrived in a small town. Although we tried to be unassuming our presence was easily noticed though our identities stayed unknown for the most part. Fortunately Nickolai was able to make contact with a local group of like minded individuals (blood cult), they managed to hide us in their storeroom overnight as the warband arrived giving us a chance to rest. As the warband continued eastward on the main road we decided to travel off road to the north taking a lesser known path nearer the coast. After another day and a night of travel through a rocky desert we arrived on a cliff-top overlooking a wetland plain before the city of Jozht in the distance. I estimate another two days to get there providing no other issues arise.
