Slots:  2 filled out of 6 The Story So Far:  It's been a year since the Orange Sky event that threw the world for a loop by introducing the Empowered to the world. In that year, the world has seen the rise of supers; both heroes and villains, has had the revelation that arcane practitioners walk among us, and has seen a major shift in the world's balance of power as the Anti-Deification League, headed by the government of Greece has led a number of nations across the globe to impose limitations on Empowered of every type. The Union of the Empowered, formerly the world's premiere superhero team, has been exiled to the moon, and the defense of the world falls on those who have been left behind, now limited by the world governments out of a fear of what they could do if left unchecked. Our story starts in Discord City, NV, the epicenter for the Orange Sky event, and home to an enormous number of professional superheroes -- and a few newcomers to the hero business. It's a city that was always dangerous even before superpowers -- but with the empowered thrown into the mix, it's a veritable powder keg, with scheming villains heading up prominent crime families, would-be gods running corporations, and local gangs of minor empowered vying for power over the city streets. Behind the scenes, a new plot is beginning to come to light as the government organization in charge of the Empowered, mages, and other supernatural entities has reached out to a handful of relatively unknown supers to help them track down a well known magical assassin and a missing nuclear engineer before all hell breaks loose. It's anyone's guess what might happen next.
