I am looking for players for a campaign that I intend to start, The Company of the Raven (LFG page at http://bit.ly/raven-lfg-roll20 ). This campaign will combine ongoing free-form text-based roleplay, whenever the players feel like, with pick-up D&D4e sessions using Roll20's voice. This is roleplaying for busy people -- come when you can, play as much or as little as you want. You are welcome to participate in the text-based RP but not the D&D4e sessions, play in the sessions but not participate in the text-based RP, or do both. New players are welcome. As the GM, I will provide scenario material and the like so that people involved in the text-based RP have something specific to talk about, and the text-based play may be used by the players to do IC planning for upcoming scenarios; I may also periodically pop into the text sessions to play NPCs and the like for whoever is around. Since Roll20 keeps an ongoing record of the chat log, players can show up at any time and get the context of what's going on. The D&D4e sessions will usually be scheduled but may sometimes be spontaneous with whoever's around. They will normally occur during an Eastern time weeknight evening, likely either at 5 pm or at 9:30 pm; they may occasionally take place on weekends. They will probably last one to two hours, covering one or two encounters, although sometimes longer sessions will be run. Players will be informed in advance of what the expected session length is. Scheduled sessions will have a sign-up list; spontaneous sessions will be first-come first-served. The Company of the Raven is a mercenary company in a war-torn world; the Company's structure and missions frame the scenarios, and provides reasonable latitude for players to take characters who appear often or seldom. For more details on the campaign, and instructions on how to create a character and join, please see the campaign wiki at http://bit.ly/raven-wiki-roll20 I am happy to answer questions and whatnot here. If you'd like to discuss character concepts, communicate with other potential players and the like, I suggest you use the forum on our Roll20 LFG page.
