Cannot Place Tokens on Map

This started today while I was trying to set some things up for a future session. I can still manipulate tokens that already exist on the map, but when I try to add new tokens it comes up with the following error: Error Message This completely makes me unable to prepare for my games and I only have a couple week's worth of content prepared already. I need this fixed especially since I pay for a premium subscription to this VTT. I have tried different browsers, clearing my cache, disabling scripts and addons. Nothing works.

You should use the Help Center and create an issue ticket to get Roll20 staff help. Here is mostly community help.

Couple more things to try (though I echo the  Help Center Request  suggestion): Try a Private Browsing window Try creating a brand new game and see if the behavior is replicated there. Also, are you seeing the issue when you try to add from your Art Library, Upload from your desktop, drag a token in from the journal tab, or pull something in from the Compendium? Or some combination?
Dragging a token from the journal tab is when it gives me that error. It also does it in other games. dragging from art library works, but considering I have over a hundred different monsters programmed in as NPCs and 99% of those file names are random letters... I cannot operate that way. Chrome's incognito mode doesn't change anything. same error. it keeps saying: Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'naturalWidth')  app.js?1637688182:233669      at readFullImageSize (app.js:233669)     at r.init (app.js:233669)     at y (app.js:233669)     at app.js:233669 also, I have opened a ticket. I'm assuming noone else is having this issue as it hasn't been fixed yet. It started today while I was making new areas for my game. Just suddenly I was no longer able to put tokens down at all. I've also updated my java from 11 to 17. I run Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Other players who all run windows are able to drop tokens still.
When trying it in firefox (which I don't use ever so its in the same condition it was the day I installed my OS.) Firefox Error
I have found a slight workaround but I should not have to do this. So its no longer as urgent of an issue for me, but still, I'd like it fixed if roll 20 staff can. So, the way I've always added tokens to the map is to open the character sheet like seen below: Picture 1 Use the arrow icon in the top left of the picture and drag that onto the map. Before the arrow icon was added you could just click and drag from anywhere in the picture to the map and it'd add the token. That stopped after the update that added that button in the top left of the image. Which also means I cannot drop tokens (and haven't been able to) from a character sheet in its own browser window ever since that change happend. Annoying, but its whatever. I did not even know this second method even existed until today when I was talking to one of my players about my frustrations over this: Picture 2 Literally dragging it from the journal menu on the right. This does still work for me. Picture 3 Only dragging from within the "Bio and Info" tab of the character sheet no longer works for me unless I hold the alt key to force it into a 1x1 token size WHICH IT SHOULD BE DOING ANYWAY! Please roll 20 stop "fixing" what isn't broken. Because it seems to almost always break something for me. This is directly tied to the nov 23rd update and has prevented me from doing work I needed to do today for the entire day. How in the heck was I supposed to know this change occured? I don't stalk the change log. Heck, I didn't even know roll 20 had one until I googled for it on the off chance this might have been the cause of my issues. I've spent around 6 hours today trying everything I could to get roll 20 working again for me. This would not have been needed if I had known an update went out 3 days ago. So, TL;DR: How do I set the default token size that is apparently undefined which is causing my error after this new update?

Thatnks, that's good information. There are a lot of issues going on here. First off, only option 2 is the correct method. Dragging from the sheet will never create a default token, just an unlinked graphic. It looks like the PC in question possibly does not have a token, just an avatar image. The method of placing graphics on the screen is undergoing an update in the default sizing, which is why you are likely seeing a change in behavior. Nevertheless, the methods you describe in 1 and 2 are not the intended workflow for creating tokens and placing them in the VTT. The correct method is to create a token using a graphic you have uploaded, linking it to the sheet, and then while it is selected, using it to set a default token on that sheet. Dragging from the journal tab will then set the associated token correctly sized and linked. Here is the wiki article on Linking Tokens to Journals. Here is a video which demos the procedure.
