Cant place player/npc tokens

I am trying to prep a session but when I was trying to place some tokens of players and npcs but the map wouldn't recognize them. I can however use them if they are from the image library. Any fixes or is this a general bug people are having?

What does "map wouldn't recognize them" mean? It's possible, depending on what the actual issue is, that the tokens were not set up correctly. If so: Here is the wiki article on  Linking Tokens to Journals Here is a  video  which demonstrates the procedure It's also possible you might be dragging from the wrong spot on the journal item. Make sure you drag from the name part of the list, and not the handle/thumbnail area to the left, which is used for re-ordering items.

You’re not trying to drag the Avatar image from a journal entry, are you?  We’re seeing lots of reports that it doesn’t work any more. I’m surprised it ever worked at all.
