About me: Hello! I am a DM with five years of experience on both sides of the screen although DMing is my true passion. I've done many games for many players, and after some encouragement decided to try my hand at paid DMing to go Full Time DM! I mainly play online though I do have in-person experience. Time: Weekends (specific schedule up for negotiation), CDT Timezone, 6 Hour Session with a break at the 3 hour mark. The campaign will contain multiple story arcs, allowing players to drop in and out as needed whenever necessary, so if you cannot commit to a long form campaign there is still a place at the table for you! Welcome Adventurers, to the land of Efesum. It is the year 2204 of the 3rd Age. Diviners, prophets and seers of all sorts have foreseen that the 3rd Age of Ficterra is ending. Even those without the gift of foresight can tell, times are indeed changing. The world grows smaller, the blank edges of the map filled in. Darkness and monsters no longer plague the good people of the world, having been chased back to their corners or integrated into modern society. The barriers between Common and Undercommon, Man and Monster, have faded into memory and been forgotten by many. Many, but not all. There was a time long ago now, where the world needed heroes to stave off the unfamiliar darkness. But now safety comes from wrought stone walls, through cannonade, cutlass and all manner of remorseless pieces of metal. Soldiers, not heroes, defend the good people of the world and enact the will of their leaders. Despite this seeming peace, tension brews under the surface. Yamato has been invaded by Ruthenia, and the slow, almost unnoticed creep in size and scope of the regions armies may be put to the test as Yamato and the Continental Empire move to answer in kind. The Scedenige of the Fruzerth move to make a war of their own with the northern Greenskin Clans, the Halflings of the Unbetont Empire pray to keep the peace as the Demons of the Bellows creep in the awaiting darkness. The world may have forgotten it's need for heroes, but a need it remains nonetheless, and perhaps...there are some who may answer the call. What you can expect from me: I have been DMing professionally for a majority of my time playing the game, between livestreams, paid games and commissioned campaigns and I have been writing since I was young, and have years of experience with improv and roleplay. I will do my best to give every player and their unique characters as much attention as I can without being unfair to the other players. I will not tolerate problem behavior at the table, but if everyone is friendly and kind then I will be in turn! I am very welcoming to newer players who are willing to learn and am very patient and accommodating to player preferences as long as they are communicated to me clearly. Any kind of character is welcome as long as intent is clearly communicated, both with me and your fellow players! I hope to help the players have fun and be engaged every session and I have a sense of humor regarding derailment of story as long as it is the players will. However, my DMing style is generally very neutral. I am not afraid to let the dice fall where they lay, for better or for worse, so do be ready for some challenges! I try to balance RP and Combat, with leanings changing based on Party preferences, so be sure to communicate early on what you want to see more of!
