Looking for a crew for Black Crusade (40k RPG)

I am looking for a group of players to play a campaign of Black Crusade. I have never DM'ed before, but I do write fiction and 40k fluff fairly often, and would love to learn. Alternately, someone with more experience could DM, I don't really care, I just want to try out this game system, I've been sitting on it for awhile but don't have a gaming group in my area. My free time is generally evenings and weekends (no Tuesdays or Thursdays), I also have access to a computer at work so could do some sideboard stuff during the day etc. Let's try out this relatively new RPG in the 40k Universe.

Would need to know a timezone before anything else, but a Black crusade game sounds like fun and I definitely have the time. EDIT: Would like to know if you planned on limiting the game to normal human heretics, involving one or two space marines or making the party all play space marines?

I'd like to play, I read 40k often, visit sites (such as Lexicanum) for more info about things, got the Dark Heresy Game (and various rule books, including Deathwatch and Black Crusade) and would Love to play this :D Need a timezone(GMT-6) here and a time itself, cause I got a Dark Heresy game today as well...and a 4e game....and a Mutants and Masterminds game.....Yeah....

Definitely interested in playing. Ran a Rogue Trader game for a few months, so I know the system decently aside from the Black Crusade changes. Timezone and human or space marines?

Why not both?

Well to be fair Black Crusade does a better job of balancing them than the previous books so that could be entirely possible. It would just help to know ahead of time.

I would totally be up for some grimdark. I've read all the dark heresy books books and a good chunk of the rogue trader stuff. I have yet to read the dark crusade rules but I'd be totally willing to do that to fill my grimdark quota.

Whoops, totally forgot to see if this site has a reply notification feature for the forum! I live on the east coast of the USA, so GM -5 time zone. I like both human and super human characters together, I think it gives the story more angles than just spehs mahreens on their own :). Starting this weekend would work for me, or otherwise later. I'm still learning the rulebook so there might be a learning curve.

I dropped you a line via email. I'd recommend character building on a chat/skype or something. Ideas usually flow better that way.

I suggest a character building session as well, those who have characters built can still send them to you but it wouldn't hurt to iron out personalities and make sure everyones not playing a space marine champion before the game starts. Anyways, the timezone may be a bit of a problem, but it might still work out depending on the time of the game so if you could give a heads up on when you were planing on running it that would help.

Yeah, I had said I'd play a Champion first thing, hopefully no one else decided to go it. But if they did, well, fuck. I'll need to figure that out. So yes, a Character Building Session would help so that we can figure out who is doing what. The Reason I picked Champion is because he seemed like the one that'll worship the Blood God.

The Champion of the Blood God might not like the Human Psyker of Tzeentch. Just putting it out there =P

Well, assuming the game is held at a workable time for me then I've got a Heretek of Undevided/leaning towards Khorne.

By the sounds of it, I might need to rethink my human psyker. Maybe I'll do a Marine...I don't want a party of Khornites attacking me =P

Well a psyker could work if theres a common goal. I mean nurgle uses Psykers and is still on good terms with Khorne. If we have a common goal I can see a mixed warband having a Psyker.

Hell if I know, Alejandro. What I can say for sure is, I love Slaanesh, and thus purposefully chose to not be Slaaneshi. My Psyker is Slaanesh-Friendly, though, if that helps you.

That works better in a novel than in a cooperative game, unfortunately =) Its good for there to be some tension, but not too much, or nothing gets accomplished. Also, my character is posted on Obsidianportal.
