"The Easterlings have hidden behind their walls of secrecy long enough. We are going to war." Welcome to the Bastion. A secretive death college in the far reaches of the Eastern lands. You might have arrived here by choice to avoid the death penalty, to restart your life, to get away from something, to avoid punishment, or by some twisted form of fate. Regardless, you will not be leaving until you pay your dues. Thankfully, your tenure as a member o the Bastion may be expedited as the kingdom of Auron to the West has chosen to invade. Serve the Bastion in repelling their undead hordes and you might be able to leave a bit sooner than expected. The party currently find themselves deep in an ancient forest, seeking out allies and resources to help repel the encroaching armies of Auron. The clock is ticking for them to accomplish their assigned goals and travel to Sorrows Gate to reinforce their Bastion "allies" and take a stand against the invading forces. This is a homebrew setting of my own making that is DnD adjacent. It carries elements and familiarity to commonly known bits of lore and knowledge. However, it is ultimately my own work and has significant parts of the worlds altered to reflect a more grounded and middle fantasy theme that I want to run games in. There is documentation of the rule changes and alterations I have made to the game. These changes reflect my foundational pillars of play which consist of Combat, Exploration, and High Stake Situations. Combat is heavily favored and is tailored to force players into making decisions that could lead to their eventual death.
