Looking for players who would want to join our server that is open to all on roll20. It is a Westmarch style server and goes through ranks of Tier to level up and move on. Here is a little bit of story on this server Factions of Faerun. Welcome to Factions of Faerun. a new server with some unique features. The good thing is if you dont like certain modes of game play you do not ever have to play them. Hate PvP? don't do it, don't like adventures for some reason? screw em, just bash people in the PvP modes. This is a PvE, PvP, Faction v Faction server, with player driven politics, city building and conquering elements. Here your characters can do what every they please. Want to become a leader of a faction? Do it. take it by force, start a coup, peacefully campaign why it should be you, or any other way you can think of. If that's not working out maybe start your own, and run it how ever you please. Make it a democratic utopia, or rule with an iron fist. Make alliances with other factions, double cross them, declare war, try to destroy them all and take over the world. Though other players will react how ever they see fit to your actions, as you will to theirs. Not one for leadership or the limelight? cool, hang out at the tavern and drink all day, help take back civilization and figure out whats behind all this, become a spy, the ultimate gladiator, a bounty hunter, you name it. We have a good group of people here, and looking for more. Come in and check it out. LORE Generations ago, increased sightings of monstrous creatures were being reported all across Faerun. Soon these sightings turned into full scale, and some say coordinated attacks on all points of civilization across the lands. All that were able were conscripted to fight off the scourge, but to no avail. After years of war civilization fell, and those few who survived scattered across the continent. Seeking refuge where they could. One such group found solace between the sword mountains. Thinking the jagged edges of the mountain range to the west, and the thick forest to the east kept the monster at bay, they began to rebuild. Two generations passed before they stumbled upon an entrance to a cave in one of their quarries, and found the true source of their protection within. A forge, and not just any forge. One that was able to bestow great magics into not only items, but also into beings themselves. As time passed different groups focused their studies and use of the forge for different purposes. Some for wealth, some for stealth, and others for power or protection, and the first factions where born. Using these powers the factions decided it was time to venture from their pocket of safety provided by the forge, find other remnants of civilization, if any exist, and take back the cities their ancestors lost. Not all have the same goals, though peace has held between the five factions, as history has shown, peace rarely lasts... You are a member of one of the five factions. suit up and venture forth to gain glory for yourself and your guild. Work your way up the ranks to become the leader if you so desire. take it by force or by cunning. Forge alliances with the other factions or declare war. Explore the ruins of Faerun, take, and rebuild cities from the scourge and defend them from other factions. Create and destroy new factions. Try to stop the scourge and return the world to peace and stability, or conquer it all, and rule with and iron fist and dark heart. All choices are yours to make, and all choices have consequences.
