importing tokens.

Recently i tried to upload a modified character token for my Gm to upload when i ran into the issue of the actual token filling up the square. does any one know a manner in which my GM can crop out the white parts or render the white transparent?

Roll20 doesn't do that for you, it just renders what it's given. Try using an image manipulation program to delete the white space and save it as a PNG.

Use gimp or photoshop if you own it. Open image, use color selectmand click on the white, right click and choose cut or delete (could use delete button or backspace?) then save it as a png as sam suggeted. Upload it to googledrive or something similiar and give the share link to GM.

Excellent examples of these free programs include GIMP and Paint.net (Google them and you'll find them). Simply use the magic wand tool to select the white part of the image and hit delete, then save as a PNG as Sam says. If you run into any problems feel free to PM me and I'll help.

There is a token tool you can use for roll20.net. Check here for this: <a href="http://www.rptools.net/?page=downloads#TokenTool" rel="nofollow">http://www.rptools.net/?page=downloads#TokenTool</a> Once you download it, move the .jar file to a specific folder, click on it once you made a home to it. Grab yourself a photo, digital, color, watercolor, any type you desire, move it inside the tokentool background (should be black), select your token ring, press save and it should be able to save it as .png format. It's worked wonders for me. I used to have one of the largest RPG repositories for images. I lost it because I deleted it out of whim. Now, I intend to make a far larger RPG repository for RPG gaming whether it be Shadowrun, Star Wars, etc. Good luck on your endeavors, Kelly V.
