Roll20 is obviously about being able to play with many different kinds of game, But the Biggest issue with my group joining is the lack of a player character sheet. I suggest that you have a folder for the player even just a text area and we could start. This may already exist as I'm just joining but I can't seem to find anything of that like.

There are other threads for this. Although it's a decent idea many just a pdf uploader would be nice or allow myth-weaver sheets to be viewable. I don't know.
There is a text area in the character card thingie, which I think is called the character journal. I've been using that for character sheets in my campaign.
The idea of a character sheet is good, but because this program is not game specific, then neither should the character sheet. In my opinion, just an area to type in the text you want to have readily available should be enough, like someone else stated, the PCs should have their own sheets and the GM can have a back up just to verify any info.
What I do is put a link in the "Bio & Info" text box on the Character form to the document on my shared hosting, Dropbox in my case. Google Docs works as well and I'm sure others do too. When you click on the link it just opens the sheet in a new tab in your browser.
Being able to upload a pdf (or even link to one) would go a great way to solve the problem without having to make specific sheets inside Roll20. There are pdf forms for every games (and they are very easy and free to do anyway), and the specific implementation of different games would be the user problem instead of Roll20 burden.
