Hello! My husband (he/him) and I (she/her) are looking for a group to join. I am very new to TTRPGs and he is new-ish, both of us are very familiar with video game RPGs. He likes to have more combat than role play. We are flexible with character choices- although I do tend to choose Paladin/Cleric type characters. I like to be able heal AND fight- if you just want the chic to stay in the background and just heal you - I am not your cup of tea- I don't mind sending a healing spell your way while I swing my weapon, but I will be attacking too and enjoying it. My goal is to get to doing the full on voice role playing- but I am definitely not there yet and my husband doesn't fully role play in that way either. I need someone who is not strict with the rules or at least patient with players who are new to learning what is allowed and what isn't, as my husband says I tend to be very unorthodox in my choices... I will also ask questions occasionally since I am still learning. We like fantasy, heroic adventure, vampires, some sci-fi, and are open to home-brews. We are ok with 18+ content as long as it does not include actions such as rape, etc, and no evil players. Flexible with chat/video platform, we like DnD Beyond's character building, Roll 20 for gameplay is great but optional. Looking for a group that is LGBTQIA+ friendly and cool with ADHD brains. EST time zone. Sundays are best - especially the afternoon, but we may have some flexibility from Friday evening through Sunday evening. Thank you for reading my novel ;)
