Hello, Roll20 Community! I was trying to find an answer to this topic and I believe I came up with a solution. ISSUE: It is hard to line up your maps made in Inkarnate because their grid cells are not 70 px like the standard Roll20 cells, making doorways and hallways hard to especially line up properly. SOLUTION: It does take some extra planning, but it can be done. I am not stating this as the absolute solution, but it may help those who are struggling to figure it out, if you found a better solution, more power to you. The solution is First determine the dimensions by squares (as in the 5ft squares in D&D), even with an oddly shaped dungeon or battle map, determine the XY dimensions that fit this dungeon. Go into your game in Roll20 and create a new map, then enter the number of squares in Roll20. This will give you the pixel dimensions of your map to use in Inkarnate. Create your battle map in Inkarnate. Start with a preset dimension followed by using the "Resize Map" function in the Grid Tool, and make a box close to your dimensions. I would double the dimensions Roll20 provides (i.e, if you have a 700 x 700 px map [10 x 10 squares at 70 px per square], then make your Inkarnate map 1400 x 1400 for better resolution) Finally, turn the grid on in Inkarnate, and change the column/rows to match the number of squares your map will have (10 x 10 squares). This should get the map to fit in your Roll20 map. Be sure to hide the grid before exporting it . NOTE: Somehow my map was off by 50-100 px but it still fit perfectly for me, so still try and see if it fits before adjusting the size. I hope this helps those who love using Inkarnate but struggle to fit your maps in Roll20.
