Hello frens! Been trying to figure something out to make a house rule idea I really like work in a Roll20 game interface. The House Rule I want to implement is basically that the GM sets a bowl in the middle of the play area where every player can reach it and have some sort of token in said bowl to be used as a communal Inspiration Pool. I was thinking about just adding a deck of inspiration tokens but it seems a little difficult for me to manage (maybe I don't really know how to use decks well?). Regardless, I would really appreciate any advice anyone could give me regarding implementing this house rule. My must-haves are these: 1. The number of inspiration tokens currently available to the party must be clearly visible to every player. 2. Players would ideally be able to interact with the pool themselves to take/use an inspiration token. 3. The pool itself would be able to have a variable number of tokens in it at one time, from no tokens in it at all to a maximum of four. 4. The DM can quickly add an Inspiration token to the pool at any given time. Bonus points for chat commands that announce when an Inspiration Token is taken and by which player, as well as for when the DM adds an inspiration token to the pool. Thank you all so much for your kind help!
