Dice rolls not matching the chat (90% of the time)

Hello, it happened before in the last few years for the dice rolls not to match the chat, but it was happening just once in a while. We just finished to play tonight and 9 times out of 10 we had a mismatch between the dice and the chat. I tried both using macros and typing in chat. It was happening to everyone in my group, not just me, so i guess it's not on my end. I'm using VTTES extention, but none of my group is using it. I'm on firefox mozilla, but i'm the only one in my group, so it was happening on internet explorer and chrome as well.

You should use the Help Center and Send a request to get Roll20 staff attention and a ticket to track your issue.  I guess you mean the 3D dice animation doesn’t match the roll template output in the chat.

Oh! That’s news to me. I suspect there’s an issue somewhere. Try with an anonymous browser window and no plug-ins. 

That worked eventually. I had to send the message a few times and it worked at some point. Btw i see other ppl are now posting about the same issue with the 3D animation, so i guess its becouse of some change that didn't work out well.

Me and my group had the same issue last night, none of the dice rolls matched the roll template in the chat.

Possible reason: Help Center reports (and forum posts) can fail if graphics are posted from a copy/paste operation where the original image is on the user's computer. Copy /pastes from an online source or uploading with an upload button or drag/drop area are the safe bet.

We are having the same issue with the game tonight, I figured it was a lag issue. The game was constantly dropping most of our players. I never got dropped or had any lag issues that I noticed but I did see the dice issue. We use 5e D&D and so often the issue was with double d20 rolls for advantage like the dice on screen would be 19 and 5 but the chat log showed 1 and 5 for example. Same thing when we roll d100 it showed 89% on the 3d dice but 45% in the chat. Over voice chat we all saw the same 3d dice result the same as each other for for example 89% and then saw the same different result 45% in the chat, so doesn't appear to be only a single client issue. We are using Chrome or Edge browsers depending on the player. 

Dice rolls on screen and in the chat don´t match. Ruined all macros from last night´s game. Nothing to do with sheets/plugins/browsers or anything like that. Tried all combinations of those and none is working. I won´t bother to contact help center. I am still waiting for any response from the last time I did that. I will not waste my time this time. Sad.

I too had issues with dice rolls on the screen not matching the chat last night. Very odd.

I am having the same issue. The 3D dice roll results do not match what is shown in the Chat Box (the Chat Box showing the actual true results). Really causing havoc with the players.

This has been reported in several other threads. I would suggest following this issue in  this thread . I would suggest filing a  Help Center Request . I will do so as well. In the meantime, I would also suggest turning that feature off in the game settings tab.
