Macro for Kult 1 ed. damage rolls

Hi I am reusing a bit of code I saw in the rolls help page to deal with damage rolls for a game of Kult I am organizing. In that game, you roll a d20 then compare the result with a table for each weapon, and severity depends on the roll result. I came up with this but I wonder if anyone can lend a hand to improve it so the actual damage type comes up rather than having to cross-reference it manually. Thanks! &{template:default} {{name=Glock shot}} {{Attack=[[1d20]]}} {{Note= Scratch 1-5 Light wound 6-9 Serious wound 10-15 Fatal  wound 16+}}

A believe a rollable table is perfect for this. <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Roll_Table" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Roll_Table</a> You basically make a table of your results(damage type) then roll using the table instead of just seeing a dice roll/result.

For KULT, you'd need a lot of rollable tables - every weapon has its own damage table (and they aren't generalisable). The method you have is probably the best way, if you don;t want to create a lot of rollable tables. But if you are willing to create a lot of rollable tables, you can easily call them with something like {{damage=[[1t[table-name]]]}} , entering the name of the table isntead if table-name . I can't remember, but do KULT 1e tables every have modifiers? If so, the rollabe table method wont work, but if no modifiers are applied, this is very good (aside from the work involved).

I you are using your original roll, it would beb better as &amp;{template:default} {{name=Glock shot}} {{Attack=[[1d20]]}} {{damage=[[1d20]]}} {{Damage Results= Scratch 1-5 Light wound 6-9 Serious wound 10-15 Fatal&nbsp; wound 16+}} That way you have the damage roll ready if the attack huts.
Hi thanks for your valuable ideas, I generally stay away from tables as having to change tabs from the chat is an additional step that is a bit of a pain, but I will have a look at all the options you suggested. Thanks!

Unfortunately more advanced options are only available for games where the GM has a Pro subscriber game, and can use API scripts. At Free and Plus levels, you are bound by the limits oif roll20 macros, and with those there's no way to replicate the tables (esecially with the way KULT weapon tables dont follow standardised progressions). rollableTables are the only practical way to achive this.

I can take a look at adding 1st edition damage to the 3rd edition sheet as a configuration switch, no idea about time scales though.
Thanks GiGs I will explore that option again. As for David's option, that'd be very nice to have. Cheers
