GIFs in Maps

February 26 (3 years ago)
I haven't seen this topic discussed in a few years, but I just saw a video of someone uploading a working GIF into a roll20 map but I can't seem to be able to recreate it myself.
Here's the link to their video of them doing it. Viewscreen overlay elements - How to - YouTube

Roll20 allows me to upload the gif, it moves when I hover over it in my library, but not when I drop it.
What am I missing here?
How did this person do it?

I was able to make it work, but not I believe, as intended.

I couldn't pull any gif I saved in a folder in my library and have it work. The gif would be frozen and blurry.
I was able to drag and drop a gif from the Recent Uploads section. It works just fine if I drag it from there.

Its a relatively minor inconvenience, as it means I'm unable to use gifs I've previously organized. I have to go looking for it in a jumbled mess of things I've uploaded.

Animating Gifs work in Roll20, and have done so for a few years now.

You just need to activate the animation by selecting it and pressing the two bars symbol to unpause it.

For some reason the GIFs will run if I drag them over from the "Recent Download" part of the page, but won't work if I drag it over from my organized library of images.
