Can´t reopen character sheets

Me (GM) and several players in our DnD 5E game in Roll20 have started experiencing issues with reopening character sheets. Basically I can open the character sheet for each character or monster once, but if I try to reopen it, there is only a white box. It is issue mainly for me, as I have to juggle lots of windows and sometimes close them by mistake. Refreshing solves it for the moment, but again I can only open each sheet once. I tried chrome, edge and firefox, the issue remains. I am not aware of any changes on my side. I saw that about a year ago there was a thread about this, but I did not see any clear solution.

Have you tried clearing the campaign chat log from the campaign launch page? I honestly have no idea whether this will fix it, but it fixes a lot of weird campaign issues. If that doesnt work, you'll probably have to contact tech support.

Are you opening into popouts, or into windows that exist within the VTT window? There is a Chrome bug which hampers re-opening popouts.

Its the already mentioned and complained bout handouts and character sheet issues guys.  There is no error when it fails to load, its like their service just forgets about us till we open it again.  Its exactly like the transmogrifier how it sometimes fails to load the contents of a game session you select.  Their service just hiccups constantly and ever since they added the upgrade to sheets and handouts they behave just like that.  When you have a good shard and good connection, its just a nuisance, when you are playing during heavy server burdens with people across the planet, the failure to load and waiting to see if it loads takes forever and is brutal.  My workaround for this is to open every sheet and religiously minimize instead of close them.  And I have stopped using tokenmod to mod settings that adjust sheets(same with chatsetattr).

There is a setting on the settings tab in game that will make this the default behavior. Not that if you are using Chrome, you will run into the aforementioned bug that keeps you from re-opening them again in the same session. The workaround for this is to make that popped out window the front window and instead of closing it, reload it. The popout will close, but should be re-openable. This bug has been around for several years, and the devs are certainly aware. The fact that it has not been fixed suggests a blocker of some kind.

This is truly irritating I've only just started getting this bug recently.
