Call of Cthulhu

Join a classic Call of Cthulhu (6th edition) campaign (circa 1928) that features a balance of investigation and action using the rules and several other supplements such as the Investigator's Companion and Investigator Weapons Vol 1. Seeking an elite handful of players (4 to 5) who are: willing to familiarize themselves with the Call of Cthulhu rules -- at least in passing and enough to generate a PC on your own. Familiar with the writings of HP Lovecraft -- you don't need to be a Lovecraft scholar just someone who has read a few of the stories and gets the overall concept. Dependable and respond to emails usually within 24 hours. In possession of a reliable internet connection with camera and microphone. Willing to generate a character on the campaign wiki, obsidianportal.com (free). Willing to play w/ old people, I'm in my 40s. Game time is flexible but I envision a weeknight start time of 8pm or 9pm EST Basically I'm asking for a lot but I believe there are some solid, reliable, Cthulhu fans out there. Would be keen to play, I'm not entirely up to scratch on 6th edition but I've played enough RPGs to bring myself up to speed. Am in NZ so timing of games would be the only issue, though I am pretty flexible. Will the game be posted up under Looking For Group?

I'd be interested.  The only potential issue would be if you plan to run some of the traditional campaigns as I've played or GM'd many of the ones that were released in the 80s (e.g SoY, SoA, MoN, FfY).  PS: I'm also in my 40s and familiar with OP (I'm using it as the campaign log for my current CoC group, the 6E dynamic sheets work very well).

Wow, i just bought this game a couple of days ago (6th) and love it. I am definitely interested. I remember when it first came out and do regret losing my original copy of the old edition :)

This sounds great!  I've been looking for an online CofC game for a while.  Same age group, familiar with the rules, and happy to be serious about having some fun.

I am familiar with CoC I have plenty of books to pull from what era is the game set in? i can roll up a character On my Own I just need to know setting basics (Time Place and Preferd character Social class)

I wouldn't mind joining in the madness. I'm a Lovecraft fan and I've got the 6th edition core rulebook.

I would love to play CoC I have read most of Lovecrafts books and loved them :)&nbsp;&nbsp; THe only problem is that I don't own a cam and dont plan on getting one for the game....I do have a mic and headset though :D Friend of mine has the 6th edition books from a failed attempt at playing :P I can build my own investigator .... Let me know if I can still play without a cam!!! please!!!!

Sounds super, hope I am not too late to the party; just stumbled across Roll20 yesterday and need to get up to speed with it all. Have played &amp; run CoC since 1981. I'm fluent with 6th Ed. I am still very much involved in pen &amp; paper RPG gaming and would be happy to participate in your project at any level. Don't own a camera, but do use voice coms a lot for a variety of other gaming. If it will help to see my grey beard and furious moustaches, I will be happy to add a camera to my set-up. My time zone is Pacific, I hope to be able to join in the fun! -Thomas
